Features:
- 22 kW normal-use rating with 45 A output
- Up to 67.9 A published maximum output current
- R3 IP21 wall-mounted ACS580-01 construction
ACS580-01-046A-4 3AXD50000038963 is the 22 kW configuration in the 400 V ACS580-01 range.
The drive can coordinate motor speed with process commands and feedback, but each application must be assessed against its torque curve, acceleration time, and overload pattern.
Before ordering, establish the network type, protection study, motor and supply cabling, braking method, enclosure airflow, control architecture, option codes, and commissioning responsibilities.
Availability is subject to Apter Power's current inventory and sourcing confirmation.

22 kW application assessment
- Torque curve: Plot continuous and peak torque across the required speed range.
- Inertia: Use the machine inertia and target ramp to estimate acceleration demand.
- Overload: Compare duration and repetition with the light- and heavy-duty ratings.
- Low speed: Check motor cooling and continuous torque when the process runs slowly.
Power-circuit coordination
- Input fuse: Select the protective device from ABB guidance and the site fault study.
- Motor cable: Verify ampacity, shield, PE conductor, insulation, and permitted length.
- STO: Integrate both Safe Torque Off channels into the validated machine safety function.
- Isolation: Provide a lockable isolation method; STO is not a general power isolator.
Controlled load acceptance
- Static checks: Verify wiring, insulation, PE continuity, and terminal tightness before energizing.
- Motor identification: Use the approved identification procedure with the machine in a safe condition.
- Ramp test: Increase speed and load gradually while recording current and process behavior.
- Handover: Save parameters, fault records, test evidence, and the final electrical drawings.
