The ABB NETA-01 Ethernet Adapter Module is an optional device designed for remote monitoring and control of ABB drives via Ethernet. It allows up to nine drives to be connected to the network using the DDCS Branching Unit (NDBU-85/95) or in a ring topology. Through browser-based interfaces, users can monitor and adjust drive parameters, read status and actual values, manage data logs, and handle fault logs efficiently. The module also supports e-mail notifications for event monitoring and continuous drive supervision.
For control purposes, the NETA-01 enables remote start, stop, and run enable commands, provides motor speed or torque references, and allows drive fault resets. This makes it a versatile solution for centralized drive management and operational oversight.
The module is compact and easy to install, featuring a plastic enclosure measuring 93 × 35 × 76.5 mm, with IP20 protection. It mounts on a standard mounting rail, either inside or outside the drive unit depending on drive type and configuration. Configuration is handled via drive parameters or DIP switches, allowing flexibility in setup.
Electrical specifications include 24 V DC supply with 80 mA current consumption, light transmitter (grey) and receiver (blue) connectors, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port. The module operates at 10/100 MBit/s and supports channel addresses 1–254, ensuring reliable and robust communication across ABB drive networks.
