Features:
- Industrial-Grade Proximity Probe Provides Accurate Shaft Vibration And Position Monitoring.
- Combines Capability of Eddy-Current Sensing with Non-Contact Measurement Technology
- Designed For Seamless Integration With 3300 And 3500 Series Monitoring Systems.
The 330701‑00‑25‑10‑11‑05 is a precision proximity sensor from Bently Nevada’s 3300 XL series, engineered for reliable, non-contact monitoring of rotating machinery. Its rugged stainless steel construction and high-quality sensing components allow consistent operation under vibration, temperature extremes, dust, and moisture.
This probe continuously measures shaft displacement and vibration, delivering real-time data to 3300 and 3500 series monitoring systems. By detecting early mechanical faults such as imbalance, misalignment, and bearing wear, it supports predictive maintenance programs and minimizes unexpected downtime.
Featuring a compact design with an integrated high-quality cable, the 330701‑00‑25‑10‑11‑05 is easy to install, maintain, and replace. Its robust performance and compatibility with 3300 XL series infrastructure make it ideal for turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, and other critical rotating equipment in industrial plants.
The 330701-00-25-10-11-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probes may still be available for purchase and support from authorized distributors beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Large steam turbine/gas turbine axial displacement (Thrust Position): This is the core application of the 11mm probe. Due to the large thermal expansion of large units, the 11mm probe provides a linear range of approximately 4.0 mm (155 mils) (twice that of the 8mm probe), effectively monitoring thrust bearing wear and rotor axial movement.
- Differential Expansion Monitoring: Measuring the difference in relative thermal expansion between the rotor and casing during the startup and shutdown of large units.
- Large hydro turbine runout monitoring: For large-diameter, low-speed shafts, the 11mm probe can cover a wider range of surface irregularities, providing a stable vibration signal.
- Linear Range: 3.94 mm (155 mils). In comparison, the standard 8 mm probe is only 2.0 mm. This makes it ideal for monitoring axial displacement (thrust) in large units.
- Standard Sensitivity (ISF): 3.94 V (100 mV/mil). Note: Its sensitivity is only half that of the 8 mm system (200 mV/mil).
- Linearity Error: The error is typically less than ±5.6% across the entire linear range (with the 3300 XL 11 mm preamplifier).
- Typical Temperature Drift: Across the entire measurement range, linearity deviation is typically less than 0.25% for every 1°C change in temperature.
- Cold Start Note: If the machine is started from extremely low temperatures (e.g., -50°C), the gap voltage may initially drift by approximately 0.1V to 0.3V, which will stabilize as the machine warms up to normal operating conditions.
- Probe Tip: Constructed of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). This material maintains extremely high mechanical strength and insulation properties even at +177°C, preventing heat deformation that could cause the probe to collide with the shaft.
