Features:
- Versatile 3.6-inch case length with 1.0m cable for standard mounting.
- CSA, ATEX, IECEx certified for installation in explosive atmospheres with option 05.
- Patented TiLoc and CableLoc technologies for robust mechanical durability.
The 330101-00-36-10-02-05 is an 8 mm proximity probe engineered for reliable vibration and position measurement on fluid-film bearing machines such as turbines, compressors, and generators. With a 3.6-inch overall case length, 0.0-inch unthreaded length, and 1.0-meter (3.3-foot) integral cable, it provides a versatile solution for standard mounting applications. The 3/8-24 UNF threads without armor offer a lightweight yet durable design. The probe is fully interchangeable with both XL and non-XL 3300 series components, eliminating the need for bench calibration. The 1.0-meter cable length is compatible with corresponding Proximitor sensor configurations.
The 330101-00-36-10-02-05 carries CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals (option 05), making it suitable for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres including Class I Zone 0 and Zone 2 environments. These certifications ensure the 330101-00-36-10-02-05 can be safely deployed in refineries, chemical plants, and other hazardous industrial facilities. The 330101-00-36-10-02-05 is factory calibrated to AISI 4140 steel by default, with other target material calibrations available upon request.
The 330101-00-36-10-02-05 incorporates patented TiLoc molding for a robust bond between the probe tip and the probe body, ensuring long-term reliability under vibration and mechanical stress. The CableLoc design provides 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, securely attaching the probe cable to the probe tip to prevent accidental disconnection. The gold-plated ClickLoc connector with standard cable (option 02) requires only finger-tight torque and features a locking mechanism to prevent loosening. The 330101-00-36-10-02-05 operates from -51°C to +177°C and complies with API 670 Standard for mechanical configuration and accuracy.
The 330101-00-36-10-02-05 Bently Nevada Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond
End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Power Generation: Monitors steam turbines, gas turbines, and generators.
- Oil & Gas / Petrochemical: Applied to centrifugal compressors, turbo-expanders, and pumps.
- Heavy Manufacturing: Used in large fans, blowers, and electric motors.
- Radial Vibration: Measures shaft dynamic motion inside fluid-film bearings.
- Early Fault Detection: Identifies rotor unbalance, shaft misalignment, fluid-film bearing instability (oil whirl/whip), and mechanical looseness.
- Automated Machinery Protection: Triggers emergency alarms or automatic machinery shutdown (trips) if vibration amplitudes or axial displacements exceed safe thresholds.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Supplies raw waveform data used by asset management software to generate Orbit plots, Bode plots, and Waterfall plots for root-cause failure analysis.
- Sensor Self-Health Monitoring: The connected Proximitor sensor constantly validates the "Gap Voltage" (DC bias). If a cable snaps or short-circuits, the system detects a "Not OK" status, preventing false machinery trips.
- Mechanical Clearance: The probe must be rigidly mounted to prevent bracket resonance. Ensure the probe tip is perpendicular to the shaft observed surface.
- Gap Voltage Adjustment:Adjust the physical distance between the probe tip and the shaft until the Proximitor sensor outputs a standard DC bias voltage of approximately -10 VDC (which represents the middle of its linear range).
- Target Material: The standard calibration is for AISI 4140 steel. If the shaft is made of a different material, the Proximitor sensor must be recalibrated, or scale factors must be adjusted in the software.
- Cross-Talk Prevention: Maintain a minimum physical distance between adjacent probe tips (typically at least 40 mm apart) to prevent electromagnetic interference (cross-talk).
