Features:
- Interface Between the Machine Surface and 3300 XL Proximitor® Sensor System
- Combines Capability of Vibration Detection with Environmental Protection
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL 8mm Transducer System and Standard 3500 Monitoring System
The 330102-00-50-10-01-05 operates as the 8mm Proximity Probe in a 3300 XL 8mm transducer system, providing reliable displacement measurement of rotating machinery components. It continuously detects eddy current variations across 0.25 to 2.3 mm linear range while maintaining signal accuracy through PPS probe tip and FEP-armored cable construction. Seamless signal transmission is standard with the 330102-00-50-10-01-05, however using an optional ClickLoc™ connector design will ensure superior pull strength at the connection point in demanding industrial environments. The 330102-00-50-10-01-05 has made improvements in several areas over previous probe designs in addition to incorporating gold-plated connector technology within the 3300 XL system.
The 330102-00-50-10-01-05 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire transducer system, and is a critical component of the measurement path, directly affecting the accuracy and reliability of the overall vibration monitoring system. One 330102-00-50-10-01-05 probe is required per measurement channel depending on the desired monitoring point. The 330102-00-50-10-01-05 occupies no rack slots and is always mounted directly on the machine bearing housing (typically in a 3/8-24 UNF threaded mounting position).
For complete system operation, the 3300 XL 8mm system requires the 330102-00-50-10-01-05 proximity probe to convert mechanical displacement into electrical signals. In addition to standard vibration measurement, the 330102-00-50-10-01-05 configuration also performs environmental sealing. The 330102-00-50-10-01-05 probe assembly executes protection using the Viton O-ring pressure seal specified in the probe specifications. Using this method, the proximity probe continually guards against oil and moisture ingress up to 34 bar (500 psi) pressure. If the system detects that the probe signal is compromised (outside configured gap voltage of -9 Vdc or sensitivity tolerance of 7.87 V/mm), it will indicate a fault condition in the monitoring system and require probe inspection.
The 330102-00-50-10-01-05 Bently Nevada 8mm Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
