Features:
- Interface Between the Proximitor Sensor and 3300 XL Monitoring System
- Combines Capability of Signal Extension with Flexible Installation Support
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL 8mm Proximitor Probe and Monitor
The 330130-040-02-CN operates as the Standard Extension Cable in a 3300 XL system, providing reliable signal transmission between the probe and the Proximitor Sensor. It continuously extends the electrical signal from the probe tip to the monitoring electronics while maintaining signal integrity and phase response across the full frequency range. Seamless signal continuity is standard with the 330130-040-02-CN, however using proper cable routing and grounding practices will allow optimal performance in high-RF or high-electromagnetic interference environments. The 330130-040-02-CN has made improvements in several areas over previous extension cable designs in addition to incorporating FEP-insulated coaxial cable construction within the 3300 XL system.
The 330130-040-02-CN provides essential connection functions common to the entire measurement chain, and is a critical component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall vibration monitoring system. One 330130-040-02-CN extension cable is required per probe depending on the desired system configuration. The 330130-040-02-CN occupies the interconnect position between the probe and the Proximitor Sensor and is always used with matching system components (same part number series, the dedicated extension cable for 3300 XL applications).
For complete system applications, the 3300 XL system requires the 330130-040-02-CN extension cable installed between the probe and the Proximitor Sensor. In addition to standard signal extension, the 330130-040-02-CN also performs consistent electrical length compensation. The 3300 XL system executes measurement accuracy using the total electrical length specified in the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor Sensor options. Using this method, the complete system continually maintains the calibrated measurement field. If the system detects that the total electrical length is outside the specified range (outside configured tolerance levels), it will affect the linearity and accuracy of the displacement measurement and may require recalibration of the System Event List.
The 330130-040-02-CN Bently Nevada 3300 XL Standard Extension Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
