Features:
- Superior Chemical Resistance Enhances Reliability In Corrosive Environments
- Patented TipLoc And CableLoc Designs Ensure Secure Probe Tip And Cable Attachment
- Multiple Thread And Cable Configurations Allow Flexible Installation Options
The Bently Nevada 330910-00-16-10-02-00 3300 NSv Proximity Probe delivers highly accurate vibration measurement for critical rotating equipment. With its stainless-steel probe case and armored construction, it withstands extreme temperatures and mechanical stress, making it suitable for compressors, turbines, and other process machinery.
Compatibility with legacy 3300 RAM probes allows seamless replacement or upgrade in existing monitoring systems. Its enhanced chemical resistance makes it especially effective in environments where previous probes could degrade over time, providing extended service life and minimizing maintenance downtime.
By incorporating robust ClickLoc connectors, CableLoc cable retention, and optional connector protection, the 3300 NSv ensures reliable signal transmission and installation security. These features, combined with flexible thread types, probe lengths, and calibration options, make it a versatile solution for modern industrial monitoring and predictive maintenance programs.
The 330910-00-16-10-02-00 Bently Nevada 3300 NSv Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Small High-Speed Compressors: Used in centrifugal air or process gas compressors to monitor radial vibration of small shaft diameters at high speeds.
- Compact Hydrodynamic Bearings: Installed inside space-constrained sliding bearings to monitor the static position and axial runout of the shaft in real time.
- Precision Machine Tool Spindle Monitoring: Monitors the rotational accuracy and runout of spindles in areas with dense metal structures, such as machining center spindles.
- Keyphasor and Speed Triggering: Installed as a keyphasor probe near gears or shaft shoulders to accurately capture keyway signals for phase positioning.
- Linear Range Stability: On standard bearing steel (AISI 4140), the linear measurement range is approximately 1.5mm. If the shaft material is different (e.g., stainless steel or special alloys), material compensation calibration using a preamplifier is necessary.
- Gap Voltage Setting: During installation, the gap voltage is typically adjusted to around -10V (corresponding to the center point of the linear range) to ensure that positive and negative vibration peaks do not exceed the linear range.
- Bending radius limitation: Its coaxial cable is relatively delicate; care must be taken during installation to ensure the cable's bending radius is within acceptable limits (generally not recommended to be less than 25.4mm) to prevent damage to the internal shielding layer and subsequent signal glitches.
- Extremely low reverse boring requirements: While ordinary probes require a reverse boring hole diameter at least 2-3 times the probe diameter, the NSv series can operate normally in holes with a diameter of only 9.5mm (0.375 in).
- Insulation resistance testing: During maintenance, the insulation resistance between the probe's centerline and the outer casing must be checked. A decrease in resistance usually indicates cable sheath damage or turbine oil/moisture seepage at the joint.
- Resistance matching: Measuring the DC resistance of the probe system is crucial for determining its health (the 3300 NSv probe typically has a specific resistance range, such as a total system resistance of approximately 7.5-11 ohms, depending on the cable length).
- Connector protection: Although ClickLoc has a self-locking feature, it is recommended to install heat shrink tubing or a dedicated sealing box in heavily oiled environments to prevent oil from seeping into the connector and causing signal drift.
