Features:

  • 30-foot (9.1 meter) hardline cable permanently connects the high-temperature sensing element to the remote signal conditioning electronics, allowing operation at significantly higher temperatures than standard Velomitor sensors.
  • Segregated design places the piezoelectric sensing element in high-temperature zones (up to 500°F/260°C) while the signal conditioning electronics remain in cooler locations (up to 200°F/93°C).
  • System performance comparable to standard Velomitor sensors despite the segregated design, providing reliable casing velocity measurements for gas turbines and other high-temperature machinery.
The 9571-30 puts the sensing element where standard sensors can't go—up to 500°F. The electronics stay cool at 200°F. The 30-foot hardline cable bridges the gap. Monitor casing velocity on gas turbines without overheating the electronics.

No field connections between sensor and electronics. The 9571-30’s hardline cable is factory-sealed and permanently attached. No connector failures, no moisture ingress, no installation errors. Just one continuous path from sensing tip to conditioner.

Despite the segregated design, the 9571-30 delivers the same performance as standard Velomitor sensors. Casing velocity data is accurate and reliable. Use it where heat kills ordinary accelerometers—gas turbine casings, exhaust ducts, and high-temperature compressor stages.

The 9571-30 Bently Nevada Interconnect Cables may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Description
The 9571-30 serves as a critical link in machinery protection systems, specifically engineered to transmit precise analog signals from proximity probes or other transducers to monitoring modules. Its construction with 22 AWG (0.382 mm²) shielded conductors minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is crucial for the accurate vibration and displacement data required by systems .

The robust design of the 9571-30 cable ensures that even in electrically noisy plant environments, signal fidelity is preserved for reliable machine health diagnostics.

Durability under harsh conditions is a hallmark of the 9571-30. The cable operates reliably across a wide temperature spectrum from -29°C to 121°C, making it suitable for both cold outdoor installations and hot environments near turbines or compressors.

The moisture-resistant female connector at the transducer end of the 9571-30 provides an added layer of protection against environmental contaminants, safeguarding the connection point which is often exposed in the field. This resilience makes the 9571-30 a trusted component in predictive maintenance programs.

Installation flexibility is another key advantage of the 9571-30. Available in standard lengths from a minimum of 2 feet up to a maximum of 99 feet, it can accommodate various physical layouts between machinery and control panels.

For projects requiring specific dimensions, the 9571-30 can be ordered in custom one-foot increments, allowing for precise cable runs that reduce slack and improve cabinet organization. This adaptability ensures that the 9571-30 can be seamlessly integrated into both new installations and retrofit projects.

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
What is the primary function of the 9571-30 cable in a monitoring system?
The 9571-30 is a shielded interconnect cable designed to transmit low-noise analog signals from eddy current probes or other transducers to the input channels of a monitoring system, such as a Bently Nevada 3500 series frame. Its 22 AWG shielding and robust connectors ensure the signal integrity required for accurate vibration and position measurements is maintained over distances up to 99 feet.
What are the environmental limits for installing the 9571-30 cable?
The 9571-30 cable is rated for continuous operation within a temperature range of -29°C to 121°C (-20°F to 250°F). This broad range allows for installation in most industrial environments, from outdoor compressor yards to hot machinery halls. The moisture-resistant connector further supports use in non-condensing humid conditions.
Can I order a specific length of the 9571-30 cable for my installation?
Yes. While the 9571-30 is available in standard lengths from 2 to 99 feet, custom lengths can be ordered in one-foot (0.3048 m) increments to match precise installation requirements. This ensures you can obtain a 9571-30 cable that minimizes excess while meeting the necessary run distance, though custom lengths may incur an additional cost.
Why is the shielding important for the 9571-30, and what type of connectors does it use?
The shielding in the 9571-30 is critical for protecting the low-voltage analog signals from electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) prevalent in industrial settings. The cable uses a moisture-resistant female connector at the transducer end for a secure, environmentally protected connection, and ring lugs at the monitor end for a reliable, screw-terminal connection to the monitoring system's input module.
