The 330752-25-CN operates as the High Temperature Velomitor Sensor in industrial machinery monitoring systems, providing reliable velocity measurement on machinery surfaces with temperatures up to +400°C (+752°F). It continuously captures vibration data through the piezo-electric sensing element and transmits this signal through a 2.5-meter integral cable to support steady state monitoring of rotating equipment in extreme thermal environments. Reliable high-temperature velocity measurement is standard with the 330752-25-CN, however using the segregated transducer design allows the sensing head to survive extreme thermal conditions in the event of surface temperatures reaching +400°C (+752°F). The 330752-25-CN has made improvements in several areas over previous High Temperature Velomitor designs in addition to incorporating enhanced +400°C thermal capability within the Bently Nevada sensor lineup. Current versions capable of measuring up to +400°C (+752°F) are identified by serial numbers preceded by the letter "G," distinguishing them from earlier versions limited to +300°C (+572°F).
The 330752-25-CN provides essential vibration sensing functions critical to machinery protection systems, and is a vital component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the accurate detection of machine health conditions in high-temperature environments. One 330752-25-CN sensor is required per measurement point depending on the desired monitoring coverage. The 330752-25-CN mounts directly on the machine surface and is always located at the designated measurement position (typically bearing housings or machine casings exposed to extreme heat, the dedicated high-temperature sensing locations).
For extreme high-temperature applications, the 330752-25-CN utilizes a segregated design configuration that permanently separates the sensing element from the signal conditioning electronics. In addition to standard velocity measurement capability, the separated configuration also performs thermal protection for the internal electronics. The 330752-25-CN dual-component architecture executes thermal isolation using the integrated cable specified in the transducer design. Using this method, the high-temperature sensor system continually maintains the signal conditioning electronics in a cooler location remote from the sensing head. If the machinery surface temperature exceeds safe operating limits for standard sensors (outside +121°C tolerance levels), the 330752-25-CN will continue providing accurate velocity measurement through the remote electronics and deliver reliable machinery performance data to the monitoring system. The internal electronics withstands temperatures of -55°C to +121°C (-67°F to +250°F) when positioned in the cooler location away from the heat source.
The 330752-25-CN Bently Nevada High Temperature Velomitor sensor may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
