Description

VIBRO METER GSI124 244-124-000-021 is a DIN-rail-mounted galvanic separation unit certified for hazardous-area use, purpose-built to power 2-wire transducers and signal conditioners. It delivers 4 kVRMS isolation and converts μA-level sensor currents into mV signals for long-distance, high-frequency transmission while strongly rejecting frame-borne common-mode noise.

The unit drops in for GSI 122/123/130 and interfaces directly with piezo-electric transducers carrying integrated electronics (e.g., CE series), piezo signal conditioners (e.g., IPC series) and proximity-probe conditioners (e.g., IQS 4XX). When the loop current is below 20 mA, GSI 124 can supply any isolated electronics, eliminating the need for Zener barriers in Ex i loops and preventing AC pickup between sensor case and electrodes.

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
What are the key features of the GSI124?
The GSI124 supports up to 4 kVRMS galvanic separation voltage and provides excellent frame voltage rejection. It effectively prevents AC noise pickup between the sensor case and sensor poles and is designed for DIN-rail mounting, making it easy to integrate in industrial setups.
Which devices is the GSI124 compatible with?
The GSI124 replaces the older GSI122, GSI123, and GSI130 models. It is compatible with: Piezo-electric transducers with integrated electronics (e.g., CE XXX series), Piezo-electric transducer signal conditioners (e.g., IPC XXX series), Proximity probe signal conditioners (e.g., IQS 4XX series)
What type of systems can the GSI124 be used with?
It is intended for high-frequency 2-wire transmission systems but can also power any electronic system with a current consumption below 20 mA.
What are the advantages of using the GSI124?
The GSI124 avoids the need for Zener barriers in Exi (intrinsically safe) applications and supports long-distance AC signal transmission. It suppresses RMS ground noise voltage and reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring accurate and reliable vibration measurement data.
