Features:
- Interface Between the Rectifier and Inverter Thyristors
- Combines Capability of SCR/IGBT Trigger Control with DC Bus Voltage Regulation
- Operates in Conjunction with the ACS800 Series Drives and DSAB-01D Upgrade Modules
The DSAB-01C 64630199Q operates as the Rectifier Auxiliary Board in an ACS800 drive system, providing reliable SCR/IGBT trigger control and DC bus voltage regulation to all power modules within the converter. It continuously generates six independent trigger pulses (0-350 kHz) to drive the three-phase full-controlled bridge rectifier and maintains stable DC bus voltage (typically 540-650 VDC) through integrated gate control logic. Seamless thyristor commutation is standard with the DSAB-01C, however using an optional Redundant Power Configuration will allow seamless switchover to a backup control scheme in the event of a primary trigger failure. The DSAB-01C has made improvements in several areas over previous rectifier board designs in addition to incorporating universal AC input voltage capability within the ACS800 drive system, with comprehensive protection features including overvoltage, overcurrent, undervoltage, overtemperature, phase loss, and thyristor fault detection integrated directly on the board.
The DSAB-01C 64630199Q provides essential trigger control functions common to the entire converter, and is a critical component of the power conversion path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall drive system. One or two DSAB-01C rectifier boards are required per drive depending on the desired redundancy level. The DSAB-01C occupies only a single slot in the power module and is always located in the dedicated rectifier control position (far left position within the power module assembly).
For Dual Redundant Trigger Control applications, the ACS800 System requires a second DSAB-01C rectifier board installed in the redundant slot. In addition to standard single board operation, the redundant configuration also performs automatic switchover. The ACS800 dual trigger configuration executes failover using the internal circuitry specified in the rectifier board options. Using this method, the redundant trigger system continually monitors the health of both boards. If the system detects that the primary rectifier board is no longer providing stable trigger pulses (outside configured frequency/tolerance levels), it will automatically transfer the thyristor control to the secondary board and place an event in the System Event List.
The DSAB-01C 64630199Q specialized diode accessory board may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
