Features:
- 2.2 kW machinery-drive rating with 5.6 A output
- R1 enclosure with 19 cubic metres per hour cooling airflow
- Sensorless vector control, application macros, and Safe Torque Off
ACS355-03E-05A6-4 adds the 5.6 A duty point to ABB's compact R1 ACS355 platform.
Its value in a machine cell comes from combining motor control with reusable macros, programmable signals, standard STO, and the option to engineer dynamic stopping through the built-in chopper.
Panel acceptance should connect the exact Product ID to motor data, EMC earthing, airflow, signal ownership, STO proof testing, braking calculations, and an archived parameter backup.
Availability is subject to Apter Power's current inventory and sourcing confirmation.

Thermal preparation for the 5.6 A rating
- Heat loss: Allow for the documented 90 W dissipation at the selected duty.
- Airflow: Maintain an unobstructed path for the specified 19 cubic metres per hour.
- Clearance: Keep the required 75 mm above and below the drive free.
- Maintenance: Prevent contamination and inspect the fan path during planned service.
Machine-signal ownership
- Reference: Define analog, pulse, panel, or serial speed-reference ownership.
- Commands: Map run, direction, enable, reset, and constant-speed functions.
- Feedback: Assign relay, transistor, and analog outputs to the approved controller logic.
- Failure response: Document behavior for lost reference, serial timeout, and external trips.
Safe Torque Off integration
- Two channels: Use both STO inputs within the validated safety circuit.
- Restart control: Prevent an unintended restart after the safety demand is removed.
- Proof test: Verify the machine response and diagnostics during commissioning.
- Isolation: Use safe electrical isolation for service because STO does not remove hazardous voltage.
