Features:
- 15 kW and 32 A normal-use rating at 400 V
- R3 wall-mounted housing with IP21 protection
- Standard Modbus RTU and configurable control I/O
ACS580-01-033A-4 3AXD50000038961 is the R3 configuration intended for general-purpose motor-speed control.
The rating is suited to applications whose verified motor current and load profile remain within the normal, light-overload, or heavy-duty limits published by ABB.
Selection should be completed with the motor data, duty cycle, cabinet temperature, fuse coordination, cable length, earthing arrangement, braking requirement, and fieldbus scope in hand.
Availability is subject to Apter Power's current inventory and sourcing confirmation.

15 kW motor and load review
- Nameplate current: Use the actual motor current rather than motor power alone to confirm the drive rating.
- Load torque: Classify the application as variable or constant torque and document its overload duration.
- Acceleration: Check starting torque, inertia, ramp time, and current demand before commissioning.
- Motor technology: Confirm the approved settings and identification procedure for the installed motor type.
Supply and EMC preparation
- Supply system: Identify the earthing arrangement before leaving the internal EMC components connected.
- Protective earth: Install the required PE conductors and verify continuity before power-up.
- Cable routing: Separate motor, supply, and control wiring according to the ABB instructions.
- Shield termination: Use the specified shield and gland practice for the required EMC performance.
R3 commissioning sequence
- Motor data: Enter and verify the complete nameplate values before running identification.
- Rotation: Prove direction with the process uncoupled or otherwise made safe.
- Interlocks: Test enable, stop, STO, and process permissives before loading the motor.
- Records: Archive parameters, option codes, firmware, and accepted test results.
