Features:
- Displays machine information on a 4.3-inch 480 x 272 color resistive touch interface.
- Provides two Ethernet ports for star, linear, or Device Level Ring network layouts.
- Stores the HMI runtime locally while supporting SD and USB file-transfer paths.
Allen-Bradley 2711P-T4W22D8S connects a compact operator interface to one controller while organizing as many as 100 screens and 500 alarms.
The embedded two-port switch passes Ethernet traffic between terminal neighbors, so the HMI can participate directly in a linear or DLR segment.
FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Station runs the application, while removable storage and host connectivity keep application files separate from the live touch interface.

Operator Image and Input Chain
- Display surface: The 4.3-inch TFT panel presents 480 x 272 WQVGA graphics in a 16:9 format.
- Touch return: The analog resistive layer converts operator pressure into application input.
- Visual output: The backlight and 300-nit panel provide the local image used by the machine operator.
- Service boundary: The backlight is not replaceable, while the touch surface is rated for one million presses.
Dual-Port Ethernet Behavior
- Embedded switch: Two Auto MDI/MDI-X ports share the terminal’s 10/100Base-T connection.
- Linear path: One cable can enter the HMI and the second can continue toward the next node.
- Ring path: Both ports allow the terminal to participate in a Device Level Ring topology.
- Star path: Either port can connect the HMI as a conventional endpoint through an external switch.
Internal, SD, and USB Storage
- Runtime space: Eighty megabytes of nonvolatile storage are reserved for applications.
- SD expansion: The card slot stores supported application and project files on removable media.
- USB host: The Type A host port accepts removable flash storage.
- USB device: The Type B device port connects a host computer for supported terminal access.
Machine Edition Limits
- Controller count: The Standard terminal connects to one controller in the documented runtime scope.
- Screen count: A project can contain up to 100 application screens.
- Alarm count: The runtime supports up to 500 alarms.
- Engineering software: FactoryTalk View Studio Machine Edition 8.0 or later creates the terminal application.
