Features:
- Connection Between the Conductive Machine Surface and 3300 XL Transducer System
- Integrates Eddy Current Proximity Sensing with FluidLoc Cable Sealing
- Functions Alongside the 3300 XL Extension Cable and 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
The Bently Nevada 330101-00-53-10-12-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe serves as the precision detection element in a 3300 XL transducer system, delivering accurate vibration and position measurement for all fluid-film bearing machines within the monitoring setup. It continuously transforms the physical gap distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface into a proportional output voltage and transmits this signal through the Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector to support precise measurement of both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. Reliable signal transmission is standard with the 330101-00-53-10-12-05, however utilizing the integrated FluidLoc cable option will prevent oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable's interior in the event of seal compromise. The 330101-00-53-10-12-05 has made improvements in several areas over previous proximity probe designs in addition to incorporating patented TipLoc molding and CableLoc attachment capability within the 3300 XL system.
The 330101-00-53-10-12-05 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire transducer system, and is a critical component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall machinery protection system. One 330101-00-53-10-12-05 probe is required per measurement point depending on the desired monitoring parameter. The 330101-00-53-10-12-05 occupies minimal mounting space with its 3/8-24 UNF thread configuration and is always installed with an unthreaded length of 0.0 in., an overall case length of 5.3 in., and a total length of 1.0 meter (3.3 feet).
For complete transducer system applications, the 3300 XL system requires a 3300 XL extension cable and a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor installed in the signal chain. In addition to standard single probe operation, the complete configuration also performs automatic signal conditioning. The 3300 XL transducer system executes measurement processing using the internal circuitry specified in the Proximitor Sensor options. Using this method, the monitoring system continually tracks the health of the machine surface position. If the system detects that the observed conductive surface is no longer within the configured linear range (outside the specified voltage/tolerance levels), it will automatically register the displacement and place an event in the machinery monitoring data.
The 330101-00-53-10-12-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
