Overview Manuals Specifications Applications Safety & Compliance Monitoring & Control

Features:

  • TipLoc probe-tip construction and ClickLoc connector design
  • 2.0 mm linear range when used in a matched 3300 XL 8 mm system
  • Approval option 05: CSA, ATEX and IECEx
The 3300 XL probe uses Bently Nevada’s TipLoc molding method to provide a robust bond between the PPS probe tip and the probe body. Its CableLoc design provides a maximum rated pull strength of 330 N (75 lbf) between the probe case and probe lead. The ClickLoc connector uses a locking mechanism designed to resist loosening and requires only finger-tight connection.

When used with the corresponding 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor as a standard 1 m system, the transducer system has an incremental scale factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) ±5% over a 2.0 mm (80 mil) linear range under the specified reference conditions.

Configuration code 05 specifies CSA, ATEX and IECEx approvals. Hazardous-area installation must follow the applicable Bently Nevada installation drawings and the product-specific approval conditions.

Official OEM lifecycle status for 330101-30-60-10-02-05 has not been confirmed. Availability from Apter Power is subject to stock confirmation.

  • Radial vibration measurement on fluid-film bearing machines.
  • Axial or thrust-position measurement.
  • Static position and dynamic vibration measurement.
  • Keyphasor reference and speed measurement, subject to Bently Nevada application guidance.
  • Configuration code 05 specifies CSA, ATEX and IECEx approvals.
  • Hazardous-area use depends on the complete transducer system, barriers or isolators, wiring method and applicable installation drawing.
  • The official system datasheet lists functional-safety capability as SIL 2 with HFT = 0 and SIL 3 with HFT = 1; this must not be described as an independent SIL rating of the probe alone.
  • The probe forms part of a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System with the appropriate Proximitor Sensor.
  • The complete system produces an output voltage proportional to the distance between the probe tip and a conductive target.
  • The system can measure static position and dynamic vibration.
  • Monitor and diagnostic functions depend on the connected Bently Nevada monitoring equipment and software.
  • The probe itself does not provide 4–20 mA, Modbus, DCS, SCADA or software-diagnostic functions.
Description
The Bently Nevada 330101-30-60-10-02-05 is a forward-mount 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe with 3/8-24 UNF threads and no cable armor. Its ordering configuration specifies a 3.0-inch (76.2 mm) unthreaded length, a 6.0-inch (152.4 mm) overall case length and a 1.0-metre (3.3 ft) total probe length.

Connector option 02 provides a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with standard cable and without a factory-installed connector protector. Approval option 05 specifies CSA, ATEX and IECEx approvals, subject to the applicable system configuration and installation requirements.

When connected to the corresponding 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor as a standard 1 m system, the system provides a nominal incremental scale factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) ±5% over a 2.0 mm (80 mil) linear range under the reference conditions specified by Bently Nevada. A 1 m system does not use an extension cable.

Technical notes
Use the probe with the corresponding 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor for the required system length. A 1 m system uses the 1 m probe without an extension cable. Maintain a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in). Two 3300 XL ClickLoc connectors should be tightened finger-tight.

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
Does the 330101-30-60-10-02-05 probe support Modbus or 4–20 mA communication?
No. The probe is a component of the analog 3300 XL proximity transducer system. Communication and monitor outputs depend on the connected Proximitor Sensor, monitoring hardware and interface equipment.
What measurements can the 3300 XL 8 mm system make?
The complete transducer system can measure static position and dynamic vibration. Its primary applications include vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
What environmental and physical constraints must installation engineers observe regarding the Bently Nevada 330101-30-60-10-02-05?
The standard probe operating and storage temperature range is −52°C to +177°C (−62°F to +350°F). Maintain a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in). For 3/8-24 forward-mount probes, the recommended case torque is 11.2 N·m (100 in·lbf), with a maximum rated torque of 33.9 N·m (300 in·lbf). Follow the applicable hazardous-area installation drawings when approval option 05 is used.
