Features:
- Interface Between the Rotating Shaft and 3500 Monitoring System
- Combines Capability of Proximity Sensing with Armored Cable Protection
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL Series and Standard 3500 Monitors
The 330104-06-25-05-02-00 operates as the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe in a machinery monitoring system, providing reliable vibration and displacement measurement to all modules within the system. It continuously detects shaft movement through eddy current technology (60 mm unthreaded length, 250 mm case length, 0.5 meter total) and transmits accurate position data through the Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector to support steady state operation of all critical rotating equipment. Seamless signal integrity is standard with the 330104-06-25-05-02-00, however using an optional Redundant Sensor Configuration will allow seamless switchover to a backup probe in the event of a primary sensor failure. The 330104-06-25-05-02-00 has made improvements in several areas over previous proximity probe designs in addition to incorporating M10 x 1 thread mounting with armor protection within the 3300 XL series.
The 330104-06-25-05-02-00 provides essential measurement functions common to the entire machinery protection system, and is a critical component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall condition monitoring system. One or multiple 330104-06-25-05-02-00 proximity probes are required per machine train depending on the desired measurement points and redundancy level. The 330104-06-25-05-02-00 occupies minimal installation space with its compact 0.5 meter total length and is always located at critical measurement positions (bearing housings, shaft proximity points, the dedicated monitoring locations).
For Dual Redundant Measurement applications, the 3500 System requires a second 330104-06-25-05-02-00 proximity probe module installed in the redundant measurement position. In addition to standard single probe operation, the redundant configuration also performs automatic signal validation. The 3300 XL dual probe configuration executes failover using the internal monitoring circuitry specified in the system options. Using this method, the redundant measurement system continually monitors the health of both probes. If the system detects that the primary 330104-06-25-05-02-00 probe is no longer providing stable output (outside configured signal/tolerance levels), it will automatically transfer the measurement to the secondary probe and place an event in the System Event List.
The 330104-06-25-05-02-00 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
