Features:
- Interface Between the Proximity Probe and 3300 XL Monitoring System
- Combines Capability of Eddy Current Sensing with Hazardous Area Certification
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor and Standard 3300 Monitors
The 330106-05-30-10-12-05 operates as the 3300 XL 8 mm Reverse Mount Probe in a 3300 monitoring system, providing reliable proximity measurement to all rotating equipment within the protected machinery. It continuously converts eddy current displacement into electrical signals and transmits this data through the cable assembly to support continuous monitoring of shaft vibration, radial vibration, and thrust position. Seamless signal transmission is standard with the 330106-05-30-10-12-05, however using an optional Extended Cable Configuration will allow flexible installation in space-constrained locations in the event of standard cable length limitations. The 330106-05-30-10-12-05 has made improvements in several areas over previous probe designs in addition to incorporating reverse mount capability within the 3300 XL system.
The 330106-05-30-10-12-05 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire monitoring path, and is a critical component of the machinery protection system, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall vibration monitoring system. One or multiple 330106-05-30-10-12-05 probes are required per machine train depending on the desired measurement points. The 330106-05-30-10-12-05 occupies minimal installation space in the equipment housing and is always located in the reverse mount position (threaded into the monitored equipment, the dedicated probe mounting orientation).
For Dual Redundant Monitoring applications, the 3300 System requires additional 330106-05-30-10-12-05 probe modules installed in complementary measurement locations. In addition to standard single probe operation, the redundant configuration also performs cross-verification. The 3300 dual probe configuration executes validation using the internal circuitry specified in the monitoring system options. Using this method, the redundant sensing system continually monitors the health of both measurement channels. If the system detects that the primary 330106-05-30-10-12-05 probe is no longer providing stable output (outside configured signal/tolerance levels), it will automatically transfer the monitoring function to the secondary probe and place an event in the System Event List.
The 330106-05-30-10-12-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Reverse Mount Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
