Features:
- Proximity Sensing Interface for Small Target and Restricted Space Applications
- Combines Capability of Eddy Current Displacement Measurement with Tight Installation Support
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor and Standard 3500 Monitors
The 330905-00-09-10-02-00 operates as the 3300 NSv Proximity Probe in a 3300 XL NSv Transducer System, providing reliable displacement measurement for all vibration and position monitoring modules within the system. It continuously converts physical target displacement (0-1.5 mm linear range, 7.87 V/mm scale factor) to regulated electrical signals and transmits this data through the miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and standard cable to support steady state operation of all monitors and modules. Seamless signal integrity is standard with the 330905-00-09-10-02-00, however using an optional Redundant Sensor Configuration will allow seamless switchover to a backup probe in the event of a primary sensor failure. The 330905-00-09-10-02-00 has made improvements in several areas over previous probe designs in addition to incorporating universal M10X1 thread capability within the 3300 XL NSv system.
The 330905-00-09-10-02-00 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire measurement chain, and is a critical component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall monitor system. One or two 330905-00-09-10-02-00 probes are required per measurement point depending on the desired redundancy level. The 330905-00-09-10-02-00 occupies only a single probe mounting position in the machine housing with its 90 mm overall case length and is always located at the measurement point (tight installation position, the dedicated proximity sensing location with 0 mm unthreaded length).
For Dual Redundant Sensing applications, the 3500 System requires a second 330905-00-09-10-02-00 probe module installed in the redundant position. In addition to standard single probe operation, the redundant configuration also performs automatic switchover. The 3500 dual probe configuration executes failover using the internal circuitry specified in the monitoring system options. Using this method, the redundant sensing system continually monitors the health of both probes. If the system detects that the primary 330905-00-09-10-02-00 probe is no longer providing stable output (outside configured voltage/tolerance levels), it will automatically transfer the measurement to the secondary probe and place an event in the System Event List.
The 330905-00-09-10-02-00 Bently Nevada 3300 NSv Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Restricted Space Installations: Ideal for environments with counterbore, side-view, or rear-view restrictions that would otherwise cause signal interference (crosstalk) with standard probes.
- Small Target Monitoring: Used for measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial (thrust) position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).
- Critical Machinery: Centrifugal air compressors. Refrigeration and process gas compressors. Tachometer and zero-speed measurements. Phase reference (Keyphasor) signals.
- Temperature Range: Operates reliably from -34°C to +177°C (-30°F to +351°F).
- Chemical Resistance: Features a probe tip made of Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) and a case made of AISI 304 Stainless Steel, providing superior resistance to corrosive process gases and fluids compared to older models.
- Pressure Sealing: Includes a Viton O-ring to seal differential pressure between the probe tip and case.
- Humidity: Supports up to 100% condensing humidity (non-submersible) when connectors are properly protected.
- Linear Range: Typically provides a linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils).
- Scale Factor: Has an Average Scale Factor (ASF) of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil), which is the industry standard for eddy current transducers.
- System Integration: The probe must be used with a 3300 NSv extension cable and a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor to output data to a monitoring system.
- Interchangeability: Mechanically and electrically compatible with Bently Nevada’s older 3300 RAM proximity probe systems, allowing for easier upgrades.
