Features:
- Interface Between the Rotating Machine Shaft and 3500 Rack Monitoring Module
- Combines Capability of Eddy Current Sensing with Bracketed Housing Support
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL 8mm Probe and Standard 3500 Proximitor Monitors
The 330881-BR-04-110-06-02 operates as the Bracketed PROXPAC XL Proximity Sensor Assembly in a 3500 monitoring system, providing reliable eddy current sensing from rotating machinery targets to the monitoring modules within the system. It continuously converts mechanical displacement and vibration data from field-mounted shafts to regulated electrical signals and transmits this data through the integral 3300 XL Proximitor sensor and cable to support steady state operation of all 3500/40M and compatible Proximitor monitors and modules. Seamless signal transfer is standard with the 330881-BR-04-110-06-02, however using an optional 40mm Bracketed Adapter Configuration will provide additional mechanical support and installation flexibility in demanding industrial environments. The 330881-BR-04-110-06-02 has made improvements in several areas over previous proximity sensor designs in addition to incorporating 110mm probe penetration depth with integral bracketed housing capability within the 3500 rack.
The 330881-BR-04-110-06-02 provides essential proximity sensing functions common to the entire monitoring path, and is a critical component of the measurement chain, directly affecting the accuracy and reliability of vibration and displacement data acquisition in the overall monitor system. One 330881-BR-04-110-06-02 assembly is required per measurement point depending on the desired monitoring coverage and installation location. The 330881-BR-04-110-06-02 occupies no rack slots but extends the connection from field-mounted rotating machinery to the 3500 rack backplane, and is always terminated at the 3500/40M, 3500/42 or compatible Proximitor module input channel (far left position of the module face, the dedicated sensor input terminals).
For Dual Probe Verification applications, the 3500 System requires a second 330881-BR-04-110-06-02 proximity sensor assembly installed at the same measurement location. In addition to standard single probe operation, the redundant configuration also performs automatic cross-verification. The 3500 dual probe configuration executes comparison using the internal signal processing specified in the monitor module options. Using this method, the redundant sensor system continually monitors the health of both 110mm penetration probe channels. If the system detects that the primary probe is no longer providing stable output (outside configured gap voltage/tolerance levels), it will automatically validate the measurement against the secondary probe and place an event in the System Event List.
The 330881-BR-04-110-06-02 Bently Nevada PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
