Features:

  • Interface Between the Rotating Machine Shaft and 3500 Rack Monitoring Module
  • Combines Capability of Eddy Current Sensing with Bracketed Housing Support and 50mm Standoff Adapter
  • Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL 8mm Probe and Standard 3500 Proximitor Monitors
The 330881-BR-05-060-00-02 operates as the Bracketed PROXPAC XL Proximity Sensor Assembly in a 3500 monitoring system, providing reliable eddy current sensing from rotating machinery targets to the monitoring modules within the system. It continuously converts mechanical displacement and vibration data from field-mounted shafts to regulated electrical signals and transmits this data through the integral 3300 XL Proximitor sensor and cable to support steady state operation of all 3500/40M and compatible Proximitor monitors and modules. Seamless signal transfer is standard with the 330881-BR-05-060-00-02, however using an optional 50mm Bracketed Adapter Configuration will provide additional mechanical support and installation flexibility in demanding industrial environments. The 330881-BR-05-060-00-02 has made improvements in several areas over previous proximity sensor designs in addition to incorporating 60mm probe penetration depth with integral bracketed housing capability within the 3500 rack.

The 330881-BR-05-060-00-02 provides essential shaft displacement and vibration measurement for the 3300 XL monitoring system, and is a critical component of the machinery protection path, directly affecting the accurate detection and analysis of rotating equipment conditions. One or more 330881-BR-05-060-00-02 transducers are required per machine depending on the number of monitored shafts and measurement points. The transducer occupies a standard mounting interface and is typically installed using a 3/4‑14 NPT thread, positioned in close proximity to the monitored shaft to ensure precise and reliable data acquisition.

For multi-point monitoring applications, the 3300 XL system may require additional 330881-BR-05-060-00-02 transducers installed on other shafts or measurement points. In addition to standard single-point operation, the multi-transducer configuration provides continuous and redundant vibration and displacement monitoring. The system continually evaluates the health and signal integrity of all installed transducers. If the system detects that a transducer is no longer providing accurate output (outside configured measurement range or linearity tolerance), it will automatically rely on redundant measurement points to maintain continuous machinery protection and log an event in the System Event List.

The 330881-BR-05-060-00-02 Bently Nevada PROXPAC XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Description
This transducer features a rugged industrial-grade housing with an 8 mm probe tip, designed for reliable operation in harsh industrial environments, including high vibration, wide temperature ranges, and exposure to dust or moisture.

Its linear voltage output ensures consistent and repeatable measurements, while compatibility with standard Proximitor® sensors and extension cables allows flexible installation across a wide range of machinery configurations.

For multi-point monitoring applications, multiple 330881-BR-05-060-00-02 transducers can be installed on different shafts or measurement points. The 3300 XL system continuously monitors the health and signal integrity of each transducer. If a transducer output falls outside the configured measurement range or linearity tolerance, the system logs the event in the System Event List and relies on other monitoring points to maintain continuous machinery protection and diagnostic capability.

The transducer includes a 3/4‑14 NPT mounting thread and supports long-distance field wiring for integration into distributed monitoring systems. Its precise measurements, robust construction, and redundancy-ready configuration help reduce unplanned downtime, enhance early fault detection, and improve overall equipment reliability in industrial operations.
