        The HIMAX X-DI3201 packs 32 digital inputs into a 6 RU, 4 HP module, saving valuable rack space. Each input is galvanically isolated from the I/O bus, ensuring reliable signal acquisition in electrically noisy industrial environments. The short-circuit-proof group supplies (5×20V/100mA) power field sensors directly.

        Line control detects wiring faults that could compromise safety. Cross-circuits, earth faults, open circuits, or open contacts on emergency stop switches trigger a fault reaction: inputs set to 0, ERROR LED blinks, and an error code is generated. This meets Cat. 4 and PL e requirements per EN ISO 13849-1.

        The DI 32 014 variant is built for rolling stock. Conformal coating protects against humidity and contamination. Vibration and shock tested to EN 61373 Category 1 Class B. Operating temperature from -25°C to +70°C (temperature class T1) covers railway environment demands.

        Description
        The HIMAX X-DI3201 provides 32 digital inputs for the modular F60 safety system, divided into 4 groups of 7 inputs and 1 group of 4 inputs. Each input group has a short-circuit-proof supply (LS+). The module plugs into slots 3 through 8 of the F60 subrack—slots 1 and 2 are reserved for power and central modules. 

        Certified by TÜV for safety applications up to SIL 3 (IEC 61508, IEC 61511), Cat. 4 and PL e (EN ISO 13849-1), the HIMAX X-DI3201 is built for critical safety functions. The DI 32 014 variant adds -25°C to +70°C operation, vibration/shock testing per EN 50125-3 and EN 50155, and conformal coating for railway applications. 

        The HIMAX X-DI3201 uses 9-pole connectors for field wiring, with terminals numbered sequentially on the front plate. LED indicators show RUN (green) for operating voltage and ERR (red) for module or external faults. Each of the 32 yellow I/O LEDs indicates active (energized) or inactive (de-energized) channel status.
