Features:
- The client supports iPCF and iPCF-MC communication functions.
- The iPRP function is included in this iFeatures variant.
- Network administration includes SNMP and Syslog support.
The wired and radio interfaces of 6GK5722-1FC00-0AA0 have different maximum data rates. A radio gross rate does not increase the speed rating of the attached Ethernet connection.
Management access to 6GK5722-1FC00-0AA0 supports authentication and encrypted administration methods. Management functions are separate from the client association used for network traffic.
The client configuration of 6GK5722-1FC00-0AA0 supports four manageable IP addresses. This setting is part of its client function, not a count of RJ45 sockets.
The Siemens 6GK5722-1FC00-0AA0 SCALANCE W722-1 IWLAN Client may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Read power, Ethernet and radio states independently
- L1 indication: The power indicator identifies whether the supply is present.
- P1 indication: The Ethernet indicator distinguishes an established link from data activity.
- R1 indication: Radio indication separates association from searching for a wireless connection.
- F indication: The fault indicator also participates in startup and recovery states, so its flashing pattern matters.
Connect the radio path without twisting the antenna body
- Connector choice: The antenna connects to the R-SMA socket designated R1 A1.
- Tightening: Turn the connector screw cap when fitting an antenna rather than rotating the complete antenna.
- Cabinet installation: An antenna installed outside the cabinet uses the appropriate antenna cable connection.
- Placement: Antenna installation must follow the selected antenna and radio installation instructions.
Link the mounting arrangement to functional earth
- Rail support: The enclosure clips onto a 35 mm DIN rail.
- FE terminal: Functional earth connects at the supply connector rather than an Ethernet signal contact.
- Earth lead: The earth connection to the rail must remain short; the installation limit is 150 mm.
- Rail bonding: The mounting rail forms part of the functional-earth installation and must be bonded accordingly.
Separate restarting from restoring defaults
- Normal restart: Restarting through management restarts the device without requesting factory-default restoration.
- Unsaved changes: A reset-button restart can discard configuration changes that have not been saved.
- Factory defaults: Restoring defaults overwrites the device configuration instead of merely restarting operation.
- Firmware recovery: The bootloader provides a TFTP recovery path distinct from normal web management.
