Features:
- Channel grouping separates the four load-supply connections.
- The module supports Shared Device configuration.
- MSO operation provides read access to output data for additional controllers.
In the basic configuration, 6ES7522-1BL10-0AA0 appears as one 32-channel output submodule. Splitting it into four eight-channel submodules changes the controller assignment without changing the physical number of outputs.
Output command data and value status have different roles on 6ES7522-1BL10-0AA0. Value status indicates whether the requested output value is valid at the module, rather than providing another independently controlled output.
The included front connector of 6ES7522-1BL10-0AA0 uses push-in field connections. The connector, labeling strips and backplane U-connector serve separate installation functions.
The Siemens 6ES7522-1BL10-0AA0 DQ 32x24VDC/0.5A BA Digital Output Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Separate output ownership from observation
- Basic assignment: The 1x32 configuration assigns the complete output module as a single submodule.
- Shared Device: The 4x8 configuration permits the four submodules to be assigned separately.
- MSO writer: In 1x32 MSO operation, the first submodule owns the output commands.
- MSO readers: Additional MSO submodules read the output information; they do not become additional writers.
Interpret invalid output data by its operating condition
- Valid value: A valid quality indication means that the output value is being output at the module.
- Supply absent: Missing load voltage can make output value status invalid.
- Writer stopped: An MSO writer in STOP causes invalid output status for the corresponding reader information.
- Base configuration: An unconfigured MSO base submodule cannot provide valid commanded output information.
Apply mounting and temperature to simultaneous loading
- Horizontal use: The allowable group current decreases at higher ambient temperature in horizontal mounting.
- Vertical use: Vertical mounting uses its own reduced group-current limit.
- Combined load: The total load of an eight-channel group must remain within the applicable derated value.
- Channel boundary: A lower group allowance does not increase the individual output rating.
Switch the DC load types supported by the output stage
- Solenoid valves: The output channels switch suitable DC solenoid-valve loads.
- DC contactors: Contactor coils must remain within the permitted inductive-load conditions.
- Indicator lights: Lamp circuits use the lamp-load rating rather than the resistive switching-frequency limit.
- Load selection: The applicable load category determines the switching-frequency condition.
