Description
The Woodward 2301A 9905/9907 series controllers are used to control load distribution and speed of generators driven by diesel or gasoline engines, steam turbines, or gas turbines.
The controller has a metal housing and contains a printed circuit board. All potentiometers are adjustable from the front of the chassis.
The 2301A offers two control modes: isochronous control and droop control.
Isochronous control mode is used to maintain a constant prime mover speed and is suitable for: Single prime mover operation; Two or more prime movers controlled by a Woodward load distribution control system connected to an isolated bus; Load distribution based on an infinite bus, with the load controlled by an Automatic Power Transfer and Load (APTL) controller, input/output controller, generator load controller, process controller, or other load control accessories.
Droop mode is used for speed control based on the load and is suitable for: Single prime mover operation on an infinite bus, or two or more prime movers operating in parallel.

How long is the warranty?
It has a 1-year after-sales warranty.
What are the typical hardware requirements for a 2301A system to control a single prime mover and generator?
One 2301A electronic controller; an external 20 to 40 Vdc power supply for the low-voltage model; an external 90 to 150 Vdc or 88 to 132 Vac power supply for the high-voltage model; a proportional actuator for locating the fuel metering device; and current and voltage transformers for measuring the generator load.
