Features:
- Provides centralized time synchronization for the distributed Sequence of Events system with high timing accuracy.
- Receives external reference time through an IRIG-B input and distributes absolute time using an RS-485 synchronization link.
- Combines a 16-bit 10 MHz microprocessor with low power consumption for reliable continuous industrial operation.
ABB SPTKM01 provides the timing foundation required for distributed Sequence of Events applications in industrial automation systems. Accurate time synchronization allows event records from different locations to be correlated correctly, helping operators analyze process conditions and system responses with confidence. Reliable timing also supports efficient diagnostics following equipment or process events.
As the SOE time keeper master, SPTKM01 receives reference time from an external source through the IRIG-B interface connected by NTST01. The module then distributes absolute time to the distributed network through an RS-485 synchronization link, ensuring coordinated operation with the SPSEM11 module and other connected devices. This architecture supports consistent event recording throughout the control system.
ABB SPTKM01 integrates a 16-bit microprocessor operating at 10 MHz while requiring only a typical 300 mA from a 5 VDC power supply. Designed for operation between 0 °C and 70 °C, the module delivers dependable performance in industrial environments where accurate time synchronization is essential for sequence of events monitoring and reporting.
The SPTKM01 ABB SOE Time Keeper Master may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
