Features:
- Combines field I/O circuits and tachometer signal processing for communication with the SNAT 603 CNT.
- Supports DDCTool connectivity through plastic optical fibers and works with optical distributors for multi-drive installations.
- Operates with 24 V DC or 48 V DC input, provides up to 10 A output current, and withstands temperatures from -40°C to +85°C.
ABB SNAT609TAI provides an effective interface between field devices and the drive control system by collecting digital, analog, and tachometer signals before forwarding them to the controller. The board simplifies wiring through dedicated flat cable connections and supports stable communication within DDC drive systems. Its combination of I/O handling and tachometer processing makes it suitable for industrial automation environments where accurate signal transfer is essential.
The board is intended for use with SNAT 602 TAC, SNAT 603 CNT, and DDCTool communication hardware. Field wiring is terminated on the SNAT 602 TAC terminal block board, while optical communication with a personal computer is achieved through the SNAT 606 CMT or SNAT 608 CMT interface board. Different optical fiber options allow installation distances to be matched to application requirements.
ABB SNAT609TAI is also well suited for applications requiring centralized drive management. Multiple drives can be connected to a single PC by using compatible optical distributors, while longer communication distances can be accommodated through glass fiber installations with a YPC 115 A interface. With support for 9 digital inputs, 3 digital outputs, 1 analog input, 1 tachometer interface, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, the board provides dependable performance for industrial drive control systems.
The SNAT609TAI ABB Tacho & I/O Interface Board may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
