Features:
- An aluminum body joins a 304 stainless steel sleeve beneath a threaded dome cover.
- The reverse-mount probe remains outside the bearing case while its sleeve reaches the target position.
- Separate NPT interfaces divide the machine-case mount from the conduit closure.
Keep 21000-16-10-00-054-04-02 intact during replacement planning because every suffix position fixes part of the delivered housing configuration.
Compare all A-through-F positions before ordering; matching only the 21000 family does not confirm the probe, lead, penetration, fittings or mounting thread.
The non-CA prefix separates this configuration from CA21000 assemblies carrying qualified explosion-proof approvals.
The Bently Nevada 21000-16-10-00-054-04-02 Aluminum Proximity Probe Housing Assembly may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

How the ordering positions work together
- Probe choice: A16 selects the reverse-mount 3300 XL 8 mm probe placed inside the housing assembly.
- Lead reach: B10 supplies a 1.0 m lead, which must remain longer than the selected sleeve path.
- Mechanical offset: C00 removes the standoff adapter, leaving D054 to set the penetration from mount to target.
- Closure and mount: E04 identifies the conduit plug, while F02 defines the separate thread that fastens the housing to the case.
Signal-sensor routing through the housing
- External body: The aluminum enclosure remains outside the machine case and protects the probe connection.
- Internal reach: The stainless sleeve carries the reverse-mount probe toward the measured target.
- Cable return: The probe lead travels back through the sleeve and enters the housing before leaving by conduit.
- Sealed transition: O-rings, a thread seal and the dome cover close the path where the sleeve and cable meet the housing.
Limits that affect the mounting arrangement
- Sleeve support: Add support near the probe only when the combined C+D span exceeds 304 mm (12 in).
- Short penetration: Penetrations between 1 and 2 in can require a machine-case counterbore to reduce side- or rear-view effects.
- Thread engagement: F02 provides the 3/4-14 NPT case-mounting connection used by the C00 arrangement.
- Lead allowance: The probe cable must remain longer than the sleeve selected by the C and D positions.
Where the published approvals and limits apply
- API alignment: The 21000 housing family follows API 670 requirements for externally mounted proximity probe housings.
- Explosion-proof scope: CSA explosion-proof approval belongs to CA21000 versions ordered with permitted fitting codes, not to the non-CA prefix.
- Probe range: The selected 3300 XL 8 mm probe operates and stores from -51°C to +177°C.
- Seal boundary: Operation below -34°C can shorten the life of the probe pressure seal despite the wider stated temperature range.
