Features:
- Positions a 0.5 m 3300 XL 8 mm probe through a 3.5-inch maximum insertion path.
- Combines an aluminum housing body with a movable 304 stainless-steel probe sleeve.
- Separates the 3/4-14 NPT machine mounting thread from the explosion-proof conduit fitting.
Bently Nevada 21000-28-05-00-035-01-02 protects the probe connection while allowing the tip gap to be set from outside the machine case.
The sleeve establishes penetration; the mounting thread holds the housing; the conduit fitting seals the cable path.
Each order-code segment defines one of those physical interfaces and must match the installation.
The Bently Nevada 21000-28-05-00-035-01-02 Proximity Probe Housing Assembly is represented in current OEM ordering documentation.

Body, Sleeve, and Installed Probe
- Outer body: The aluminum body encloses the cable junction and the external adjustment hardware.
- Probe carrier: The 304 stainless-steel sleeve carries the probe through the machine mounting point.
- Sensor element: Order option 28 installs a 3300 XL 8 mm probe with a 0.5 m integral lead.
- Interface separation: The housing body, sliding sleeve and probe cable perform enclosure, positioning and signal-path roles separately.
Setting the Tip Through the Sleeve
- Insertion limit: Code 035 permits a maximum probe penetration of 3.5 inches.
- Gap adjustment: Sliding the sleeve changes probe-tip position before the assembly is locked at the required gap.
- Mechanical reference: The sleeve establishes insertion depth; the flexible cable is not used as the position reference.
- Direct reach: Code 00 omits a standoff adapter, so the sleeve spans directly from housing to machine interface.
Cable Entry and Port Sealing
- Sealed entry: The supplied explosion-proof fitting forms the cable-to-conduit interface at one housing port.
- Closed opening: A matching 3/4-14 NPT plug seals the second documented conduit opening.
- Internal route: The probe lead passes from the sleeve into the body before leaving through the selected fitting.
- Separate mounting: The conduit hardware does not replace the dedicated thread that mounts the housing to the machine.
Machine Interface and Process Boundary
- Machine thread: A dedicated 3/4-14 NPT thread secures the assembly to the equipment case.
- Tip exposure: The probe tip must remain within the documented XL 8 mm temperature range at the measurement point.
- Pressure relation: Allowable housing pressure changes with temperature and is selected from the published curve.
- Three checks: Thread engagement, probe penetration and conduit sealing must be verified as separate installation conditions.
