Features:
- Centralized System Monitor Provides Alarm Management, Keyphasor Signal Processing, And Data Communication For 3300 Rack Systems
- Supports Up To Four Proximity Probe Keyphasor Signals With 12-Bit Dynamic Data Accuracy And Optional 24-Bit Static Resolution
- Includes RS422 Communication Ports, SDI And DDI Interfaces, And Operates Reliably In Harsh Industrial Environments
The Bently Nevada 3300/03 System Monitor is engineered to manage and coordinate critical monitoring functions within a 3300 rack system. It consolidates essential tasks such as alarm setpoint adjustment, Keyphasor® signal power and distribution, and alarm acknowledgement, ensuring continuous machinery protection across multiple channels. By handling these key operations, the Bently Nevada 3300/03 System Monitor reduces the complexity of rack-level monitoring and provides reliable performance in demanding industrial applications.
Designed for high compatibility, the Bently Nevada 3300/03 accepts up to four proximity probe Keyphasor signals, featuring 10 kΩ input impedance and supporting RS422 communication distances up to 1200 metres (4000 feet). It maintains 12-bit dynamic data accuracy, with optional support for 24-bit static resolution, depending on monitor channel configuration. The monitor operates across a frequency range of 60 to 30,000 cpm, with a minimum duty cycle of 1% and amplitude of 0.5 V peak-to-peak, enabling precise measurement and event detection.
Connectivity is a major advantage of the Bently Nevada 3300/03 System Monitor. It provides STATIC and DYNAMIC data ports for external communication processors, and optional Serial Data Interface (SDI) and Dynamic Data Interface (DDI) for direct connection to process computers, DCS, PLCs, and Bently Nevada machinery management software. Built for industrial reliability, the module supports operating temperatures from 0°C to +65°C, storage from -40°C to +85°C, and up to 95% noncondensing humidity, making the Bently Nevada 3300/03 System Monitor a robust solution for continuous machine monitoring and protection.
The 3300/03 Bently Nevada System Monitor may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- High-Precision Signal Processing: At 25°C, the typical dynamic signal accuracy is ±0.3% (full scale), and the typical phase accuracy is ±0.2°.
- System-Level Protection: Provides power-up inhibition, disabling alarms for the first 2 seconds after power-on or voltage instability, effectively preventing false triggering.
- Status Monitoring Efficiency: The front panel features 7 internal voltage indicator lights (e.g., +VRH, -VT) and a green SUPPLIES OK LED, facilitating quick diagnosis of the frame's power status by maintenance personnel.
- Alarm Management: Supports a "Trip Multiply" function, temporarily increasing alarm thresholds by a preset ratio under special operating conditions such as machine startup, avoiding unnecessary downtime.
- Rotating Machinery Protection: Provides isolated power, terminal connections, and signal conditioning for up to 4 proximity probe keyphasors, supporting speed monitoring from 60 to 30,000 rpm.
- Industrial Integrated Monitoring: Suitable for asset status management in fields such as power (steam turbines, generators) and petrochemicals (compressors), enabling vibration and displacement monitoring in conjunction with the 3300 XL series sensors.
- Legacy System Upgrade: As the core of the SDI/DDI system, it allows older 3300 frames to be connected to modern System 1 machine management software via a serial interface.
- Serial Data Interface (SDI/DDI): RS232: Up to 19.2 kbaud baud, maximum transmission distance 30 meters, suitable for short-distance connection to the main controller; RS422: Up to 38.4 kbaud baud (DDI mode), maximum transmission distance up to 1200 meters, supports daisy-chaining of multiple frames.
- External Control Interface: Backplane terminals provide dry contact connections for "Rack Inhibit," "Alarm Reset," and "Multiplier Trigger."
- Signal output: The front panel provides 4 coaxial cable interfaces (BNC) to output buffered phase signals, which are convenient for portable instruments in the field (such as vibration analyzers) to directly acquire the original waveform.
