Features:
- Interface Between the Rotating Machinery and 3500 Monitoring System
- Combines Non-Contacting Vibration Sensing with Extended Linear Range Capability
- Operates in Conjunction with 3300 XL Extension Cables and Proximitor Sensors
The 330703-020-100-90-02-00 operates as the 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe in a 3500 monitoring system, providing reliable displacement measurements for all critical rotating machinery applications. It continuously converts mechanical displacement into electrical signals (3.94 V/mm or 100 mV/mil output) through non-contacting eddy current technology and transmits these signals through the extension cable to support steady state operation of all monitors and modules. Seamless signal integrity is standard with the 330703-020-100-90-02-00, however using an optional FluidLoc cable configuration will prevent oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable's interior. The 330703-020-100-90-02-00 has made improvements in several areas over previous 7200-series probe designs in addition to incorporating patented TipLoc molding and CableLoc design within the 3300 XL transducer system.
The 330703-020-100-90-02-00 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire transducer system, and is a critical component of the measurement path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall monitoring system. One 330703-020-100-90-02-00 probe is required per measurement point depending on the desired monitoring configuration. The 330703-020-100-90-02-00 features M14 x 1.5 mounting thread without armor, with unthreaded length of 20 mm and overall case length of 100 mm, and is always located at the measurement point on the machine case.
For demanding industrial applications, the 3300 XL Transducer System requires the 330703-020-100-90-02-00 probe with its 9.0 meter (29.5 feet) total length and miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector. In addition to standard displacement measurement operation, the 330703-020-100-90-02-00 configuration also performs automatic signal transmission. The 3300 XL transducer system executes measurement using the internal circuitry specified in the Proximitor Sensor options. Using this method, the 330703-020-100-90-02-00 continually monitors the health of rotating machinery. If the system detects that shaft displacement is outside configured tolerance levels, it will automatically transmit the signal to the monitoring system and place an event in the System Event List.
The 330703-020-100-90-02-00 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Axial (Thrust) Position: Measuring the longitudinal movement of shafts in large turbine generators.
- Ramp Differential Expansion: Monitoring the relative movement between a steam turbine rotor and its casing during startup or shutdown.
- Rod Position/Rod Drop: Tracking the wear of rider bands in reciprocating compressor cylinders.
- Speed & Phase Reference: Functioning as a Keyphasor® signal for tachometer or zero-speed measurements on gears and toothed wheels.
- Fluid-Film Bearing Machines: Capturing static (position) and dynamic (vibration) measurements on critical rotating assets.
- Hazardous Area Approvals: Certified for intrinsically safe Zone 0, 1, and Division 1 installations, as well as Zone 2/Division 2 applications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Meets European CE mark requirements with improved RFI/EMI immunity, meaning it doesn't require special shielded conduit to function accurately near high-frequency signals.
- API 670 Standard: While the 8 mm system is the primary reference, the 11 mm system is designed to meet similar mechanical and accuracy requirements for machinery protection systems.
- Physical Protection: Features a locknut with pre-drilled safety wire holes and ClickLoc™ connectors that lock into place to prevent loosening due to vibration.
- Interchangeability: Components are fully interchangeable, meaning probes and cables can be replaced without needing individual bench calibration.
- Calibration: Sensors are factory-calibrated to AISI 4140 steel by default. Custom calibration for other target materials is available upon request.
- Power: Requires -17.5 Vdc to -26 Vdc (without barriers) or -23 Vdc to -26 Vdc (with barriers).
