Features:
- Interface Between the Machine Surface and 3300 XL Transducer System
- Combines Capability of Proximity Sensing with Extended Linear Range Measurement
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL 11 mm Extension Cable and 3300 XL 11 mm Proximitor Sensor
The 330710-000-050-50-02-05 operates as the 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe in the transducer system, providing reliable non-contacting vibration and displacement measurements on fluid film bearing machines. It continuously converts target surface displacement into a 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) output signal and transmits this signal through the 5.0-meter (16.4 feet) standard cable with miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector to support steady state operation of all monitoring modules. Seamless signal transfer is standard with the 330710-000-050-50-02-05, however using an optional FluidLoc cable option will allow additional protection against oil and other liquids leaking out of the machine through the cable interior. The 330710-000-050-50-02-05 has made improvements in several areas over previous 7200-series 11 mm and 14 mm Transducer Systems in addition to incorporating patented TipLoc molding method and CableLoc design within the 3300 XL probe series.
The 330710-000-050-50-02-05 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire transducer system, and is a critical component of the measurement path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall monitor system. One 330710-000-050-50-02-05 probe is required per measurement point depending on the desired monitoring application. The 330710-000-050-50-02-05 occupies a compact installation profile with 0 mm unthreaded length and 50 mm overall case length, and is always installed with M16 x 1.5 thread configuration with armor for mechanical protection.
For complete transducer system applications, the 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System requires a 3300 XL 11 mm extension cable and 3300 XL 11 mm Proximitor Sensor installed in conjunction with the 330710-000-050-50-02-05 probe. In addition to standard single probe operation, the complete system configuration also performs automatic signal conditioning. The 330710-000-050-50-02-05 transducer system executes measurements using the 11 mm tip diameter specified in the probe specifications. Using this method, the 330710-000-050-50-02-05 system continually monitors the position of rotating machinery targets. If the system detects that the 330710-000-050-50-02-05 is properly installed with gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors, 330 N (75 lb) pull strength CableLoc design, and locknut with pre-drilled safety wire holes, it will automatically ensure secure mechanical and electrical connections and provide accurate displacement data for axial (thrust) position measurements, ramp differential expansion measurements on steam turbines, rod position or rod drop measurements on reciprocating compressors, tachometer and zero speed measurements, and Phase reference (Keyphasor) signals.
The 330710-000-050-50-02-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
