Features:
- Sensing Element Between Conductive Target Surfaces and 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
- Integrates Patented TipLoc Tip Bonding with CableLoc Strain Relief Design
- Functions Alongside 3300 XL Extension Cables and Standard 3300 Series Components
The 330101-08-20-10-02-05 operates as the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe in an eddy current transducer system, providing reliable gap-to-voltage conversion for all machinery monitoring applications within the installation. It continuously detects changes in distance between the probe tip and observed conductive surface and transforms these mechanical variations into proportional electrical signals through the extension cable to support steady state measurement of both static position and dynamic vibration values. Robust mechanical construction is standard with the 330101-08-20-10-02-05, however using the optional FluidLoc cable option will prevent oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable's interior in pressurized lubrication environments. The 330101-08-20-10-02-05 has made improvements in several areas over previous proximity probe designs in addition to incorporating universal interchangeability capability within the 3300 XL system.
The 330101-08-20-10-02-05 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire measurement channel, and is a critical component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall transducer system. One 330101-08-20-10-02-05 probe is required per measurement point depending on the desired monitoring coverage. The 330101-08-20-10-02-05 occupies a single threaded mounting position on the machine housing and is always located at the measurement gap (closest position to the observed conductive surface, the dedicated sensing element location).
For complete transducer system applications, the 3300 XL system requires a 3300 XL extension cable and 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor installed in the signal chain. In addition to standard single probe operation, the system configuration also performs automatic signal conditioning. The 3300 XL transducer system executes measurement processing using the internal circuitry specified in the Proximitor sensor. Using this method, the monitoring system continually tracks the gap distance between the probe tip and target surface. If the system detects that the shaft position or vibration amplitude exceeds configured alarm levels, it will automatically generate proportional output voltage and place an event in the monitoring system display.
The 330101-08-20-10-02-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
