Features:
- Interface Between the Proximity Probe and 3500 Monitoring System
- Combines Capability of Eddy Current Sensing with FluidLoc Cable Protection
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL Series Proximitors and Standard 3500 Monitors
The 330103-00-07-10-12-05 operates as the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe in a 3500 rack, providing reliable vibration and position measurement to all modules within the system. It continuously converts target motion into electrical signals using eddy current technology and transmits this data through the FluidLoc cable to support steady state operation of all monitors and modules. Seamless signal transfer is standard with the 330103-00-07-10-12-05, however using an optional Redundant Probe Configuration will allow seamless switchover to a backup sensor in the event of a primary probe failure. The 330103-00-07-10-12-05 has made improvements in several areas over previous probe designs in addition to incorporating universal M10 x 1 thread mounting capability within the 3500 rack.
The 330103-00-07-10-12-05 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire rack, and is a critical component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall monitor system. One or two 330103-00-07-10-12-05 probes are required per measurement point depending on the desired redundancy level. The 330103-00-07-10-12-05 occupies only a single probe position in the system and is always located at the measurement point (target position, the dedicated sensing location).
For Dual Redundant Probe applications, the 3500 System requires a second 330103-00-07-10-12-05 probe module installed in the redundant position. In addition to standard single probe operation, the redundant configuration also performs automatic switchover. The 3500 dual probe configuration executes failover using the internal circuitry specified in the probe options. Using this method, the redundant probe system continually monitors the health of both sensors. If the system detects that the primary 330103-00-07-10-12-05 probe is no longer providing stable output (outside configured signal/tolerance levels), it will automatically transfer the measurement to the secondary probe and place an event in the System Event List.
The 330103-00-07-10-12-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
