Features:
- Interface Between the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer and Machine Monitoring Systems
- Combines Capability of Eddy Current Sensing with Enhanced Sideview and Small Target Performance
- Operates in Conjunction with 3300 NSv Extension Cables and 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensors
The 330910-00-12-05-02-00 operates as the 3300 NSv Proximity Probe in a 3300 XL NSv transducer system, providing reliable radial vibration, axial position, and Keyphasor signal measurements to all compatible monitoring modules within the system. It continuously converts proximity-based eddy current signals into precise positional data and transmits this information through the miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector to support steady state operation of all monitors and modules. Seamless mechanical and electrical compatibility is standard with the 330910-00-12-05-02-00, however using an optional armored cable configuration will allow enhanced protection in harsh process environments. The 330910-00-12-05-02-00 has made improvements in several areas over previous 3300 RAM probe designs in addition to incorporating increased chemical resistance within the 3300 NSv probe line.
The 330910-00-12-05-02-00 provides essential sensing functions common to the entire transducer system, and is a critical component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall machine protection system. One 330910-00-12-05-02-00 probe is required per measurement point depending on the desired monitoring parameter. The 330910-00-12-05-02-00 occupies a minimal installation footprint with its 0 mm unthreaded length and 120 mm overall case length, and is always located in close proximity to the machine shaft or target surface (the dedicated measurement position).
For small target applications, the 3300 XL NSv system requires the 330910-00-12-05-02-00 proximity probe installed at the measurement point. In addition to standard radial vibration monitoring, the small target configuration also performs accurate axial position measurement. The 3300 NSv probe configuration executes sensing using the internal eddy current circuitry specified in the transducer system options. Using this method, the 330910-00-12-05-02-00 continually monitors the gap distance between probe tip and target surface. If the system detects that the shaft position has moved beyond configured tolerance levels, it will automatically generate corresponding vibration or position data and transmit this to the monitoring system for event logging.
The 330910-00-12-05-02-00 Bently Nevada 3300 NSv Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
