The Bently Nevada 3500/93 135799-01 Display Interface Module (DIM) is engineered to provide reliable interface functionality for the 3500 Machinery Protection System. It features a RS422 hardware interface and supports both GE’s proprietary Bently Nevada protocol and the Modbus protocol based on the AEG PI-MBUS300 Rev. E Reference Manual. With a typical channel update rate of 1 second, the module ensures timely data communication for critical machinery monitoring.
Designed for industrial environments, the module operates within an ambient temperature range of -30°C to +65°C (-22°F to +150°F) and can be stored safely between -40°C and +85°C (-40°F to +185°F).. It tolerates 95% non-condensing humidity, making it suitable for demanding conditions.
The module supports flexible display mounting options through the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, accommodating various installation scenarios. Face mounting allows the display to install directly over the front panel of a full-size 3500 rack while accessing buffered outputs and controls without disabling the display. For face mounting, the DIM must occupy slot 15 of the rack and is not compatible with the 3500 Mini-rack.
Additional mounting options include 19-inch EIA rack mounting, panel mounting, and independent wall or panel mounting, with distances up to 100 feet from the 3500 System or up to 4000 feet when using an external power supply. This flexibility allows operators to optimize display placement for accessibility, visibility, and operational convenience.
