Features:
- Accurate Non-Contact Shaft Position And Vibration Measurement
- Wide Operating Temperature Range With High Humidity Tolerance
- Full Compatibility With 7200 Series And 3300/9000 Monitoring Systems
The Bently Nevada 22811-00-03-05-02 8 mm Standard Mount Probe offers precise non-contact displacement measurements essential for rotating machinery monitoring. Its robust design and M10 x 1 threading enable secure installation on turbines, compressors, pumps, and motors, ensuring reliable operation in industrial applications.
With a linear measurement range of 2 mm and frequency response from DC to 10 kHz, the probe can detect radial vibration, axial thrust, shaft position, rotor eccentricity, and vibration phase, providing critical data for maintenance and diagnostics. Its high operating temperature and humidity tolerance make it suitable for extreme conditions, reducing downtime and enhancing system reliability.
Integrated with 7200 Series Proximitor® modules and compatible with 3300 and 9000 Monitoring Systems, the 22811-00-03-05-02 probe supports predictive maintenance strategies, helping operators prevent unplanned outages. Its durable construction and advanced measurement capabilities make it an ideal choice for industrial plants seeking precise, long-term performance.
The 22811-00-03-05-02 Bently Nevada 8 mm Standard Mount Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Unique Reverse Thread Structure: Unlike previous standard probes, the 22811 uses a 3/8-24 thread, but is designed to screw in from the rear of the bracket, suitable for confined spaces where the probe head cannot be accessed from the front.
- Fully Threaded Housing (-00): 00 indicates zero unthreaded length, i.e., a fully threaded design, providing maximum installation flexibility and allowing for a wide range of depth adjustments within the bracket.
- Short Housing Specification (-03): Code 03 represents an extremely short housing of 0.3 inches (approximately 7.6 mm), designed for use with external probe sleeves or dedicated mounting brackets.
- Long Cable Configuration (-05): Code 05 indicates that the probe comes with a 0.5-meter (approximately 20-inch) original cable, typically connected to an extension cable connector inside the mounting box.
- Split Connector Structure (-02): Equipped with a miniature coaxial connector, ensuring linear transmission of high-frequency signals and facilitating disassembly when passing through a sealed cable head.
- High-Temperature Resistant Probe Head: The head is encapsulated in polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), resisting the corrosive effects of chemical additives in turbine oil and maintaining shape stability in high-temperature oil mist environments.
- Anti-Rotation Locking Feature: The reverse mounting design, typically used with a lock nut, ensures that the probe gap will not shift even under strong mechanical vibration.
- Electromagnetic Shielding Integrity: The cable has a complete internal shielding mesh, effectively suppressing transient electromagnetic pulse interference generated during the startup of high-power motors.
- External Probe Housing System: Installed within Bently Nevada's dedicated 3300/7200 probe sleeve, allowing probe replacement without removing the bearing cover.
- Immersion Bearing Housing Monitoring: Due to the reverse mounting, the cable can be more easily led out from the rear of the bracket, avoiding direct exposure of the cable near the high-speed rotating oil slinger ring.
- Large Motor Thrust Disc Monitoring: When space is limited at the non-drive end (NDE) of the motor, the probe is fixed using a reverse bracket to monitor the axial movement of the rotor.
- Indirect maintenance in hazardous areas: In situations requiring explosion protection, use with a sealed junction box to lock the probe inside the protected machinery while facilitating external calibration.
