Features:
- Two-Wire Loop-Powered Link Between the 3300 NSv Proximity Probe and Machinery Control System
- Integrated Proximitor Sensing with Diagnostic Access and Not OK Signal Protection
- Designed for OEM Centrifugal Compressor and Small Rotating Equipment Applications
The 990-10-50-03-00 serves as a vibration transmitter intended primarily for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to their machinery control system. Seamless integration is standard with the 990-10-50-03-00; however, using the non-interacting zero and span potentiometers located under the transmitter label will allow straightforward loop adjustment, and the 990-10-50-03-00 has made improvements in several areas over previous designs in addition to incorporating an integrated Proximitor sensor within the compact housing.
The 990-10-50-03-00 provides essential vibration monitoring functions common to the measurement point, and is a critical component of the protection path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall machinery control system. One 990-10-50-03-00 transmitter is required per monitoring channel depending on the desired measurement coverage. The 990-10-50-03-00 occupies minimal space near the machine case and is supplied with DIN clips and screws as standard mounting options, with potted construction ensuring reliable operation in high humidity up to 100% condensing environments.
For diagnostic verification applications, the 990-10-50-03-00 provides a Test Input pin for quick verification of loop signal output using a function generator as the input. In addition to standard continuous vibration transmission, the transmitter also performs active fault monitoring. The 990-10-50-03-00 executes protection using the internal Not OK/Signal Defeat circuitry specified in the transmitter design. Using this method, the system continually monitors the health of the proximity probe and connection integrity. If the 990-10-50-03-00 detects that the proximity probe is no longer providing a valid signal (outside configured tolerance levels due to a faulty probe or loose connection), it will automatically defeat the output and prevent high outputs or false alarms from reaching the control system.
The 990-10-50-03-00 Bently Nevada Vibration Transmitter may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
