Features:
- Supports FL-net Ver. 3 with 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet communication, Ethernet II framing, and CSMA/CD access control for reliable industrial networking.
- Provides cyclic broadcast transmission up to 8.5 Kwords, message communication up to 512 words, and processor-to-processor data exchange through a common memory host interface.
- Supports up to 254 network nodes, installation of eight communication modules including P/PE-link, network loader commands, and SX system loader functions.
Fuji Electric NP1L-FL3 expands industrial communication capability by connecting controllers through the FL-net standard over Ethernet. The module supports both 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps transmission to accommodate different network environments. Ethernet II framing together with CSMA/CD access control ensures compatibility with standard industrial Ethernet infrastructure. Multiple communication protocols including FA link protocol, UDP/IP, ICMP, and ARP provide flexible integration into automation systems. Class C IP addressing further simplifies network configuration for factory applications.
Processor communication is a key advantage of Fuji Electric NP1L-FL3. Cyclic broadcast transmission continuously refreshes shared process information, while message communication transfers additional control data whenever required. The common memory cyclic refresh method allows efficient data access through block read and write operations. Support for up to 8.5 Kwords of cyclic data and 512-word message transfers makes the module suitable for coordinated control applications. Stable communication helps improve information sharing throughout the automation system.
Fuji Electric NP1L-FL3 is also built to simplify system expansion and maintenance. Up to eight communication modules can be installed on a CPU-equipped base board, while SPH200 systems support two modules. The network supports up to 254 system nodes with segment lengths of 100 meters between nodes and hubs or 200 meters when a repeater is used. FL-net loader commands together with SX system loader functions allow network-based maintenance operations. Low internal current consumption of 24 V DC, 160 mA or less helps reduce the electrical load inside the control cabinet.
The NP1L-FL3 Fuji Electric FL-Net Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
