Features:
- Provides two full-duplex 10/100BaseT connections for independent industrial Ethernet paths.
- Places soft-keyboard, task-switching, right-click, and brightness controls directly on the front panel.
- Monitors processor temperature, fan operation, and internal supply voltages during service.
The 12.1-inch TFT operator surface combines 800 x 600 SVGA graphics with a five-wire resistive touchscreen for direct interaction with machine displays.
External connections include three available RS-232 channels, a parallel interface, CRT output, PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports, and front and side USB access.
Status indicators and service diagnostics help technicians distinguish power, temperature, drive, and communication conditions without dismantling the operator panel.
Legacy installations may continue to source and support the General Electric IC5002TAW0000 12.1-Inch Unbundled Intelligence Panel PC through Apter Power beyond manufacturer End-of-Life (EOL).

IC5002 Enclosure Preparation
- Panel cutout: Prepare the opening to the exact 12-inch station cutout drawing before fitting the enclosure.
- Mounting depth: Allow at least 177 mm behind the panel for the unit body and cable bend space.
- Cooling clearance: Keep 50 mm clear above and below the enclosure and 30 mm clear at each side.
- Drive access: Reserve 132 mm on the left so the CD-ROM drawer can open fully.
- Grounding: Bond the enclosure protective-earth point to the cabinet ground before applying AC power.
Restoring the Factory Image
- Recovery partition: The original hard disk includes a protected image area used to restore the shipped operating system.
- Data protection: Copy application files, licenses, and changed system settings before starting a factory-image restore.
- Keyboard access: Connect a standard PS/2 keyboard when the recovery procedure requires startup key commands.
- Recovery media: Use the matching GE Fanuc recovery disk and follow its boot sequence for the installed station image.
- Post-restore work: Reinstall site applications, drivers, licenses, and saved configuration after the operating-system image is restored.
IC5002 Add-In Board Limits
- Slot arrangement: Two shared ISA/PCI positions support either bus type within the available mechanical locations.
- Card length: The 12-inch enclosure accepts boards up to 290 mm, corresponding to a three-quarter-length ISA card.
- Bracket security: Fasten each installed board to its chassis bracket so vibration cannot loosen the connector.
- Open positions: Refit blank cover plates over every unused rear opening to preserve enclosure integrity and approvals.
- Resource planning: Check IRQ and I/O-address requirements against the existing station hardware before installing an ISA board.
Class I Division 2 Conditions
- Location rating: Use the station only within the Class I, Division 2 groups and temperature conditions stated on its product marking.
- Power removal: Do not disconnect energized equipment unless power has been removed or the area is known to be nonhazardous.
- Peripheral changes: Attach or remove external cables only under the same de-energized or nonhazardous-area condition.
- Enclosure closure: Keep all access covers and unused opening plates installed during operation.
- Substitution warning: Replacing internal components can impair suitability for Class I, Division 2 service.
