Features:
- Eight relay contacts handle discrete AC or DC circuits without tying the module to one current type.
- Two independently supplied groups of four let field loads use separate sources.
- Replaceable 10 A group fuses and logic-side indication support circuit supervision.
Field voltage may range from 5 to 265 VAC/DC, with 47 to 63 Hz applying when an AC source is used.
The contacts respond in 5 ms in either direction, making their mechanical timing predictable within a discrete control sequence.
Reliable service depends on selecting the correct current limit for resistive, lamp or solenoid duty rather than applying one rating to every load.
The General Electric IC610MDL180 Series One 8-Circuit Relay Output Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Bank Arrangement
- Point Count: Eight normally open relay outputs provide discrete switching.
- Bank Split: Contacts are divided into two groups containing four points each.
- Independent Feed: Each group can accept its own field-power source.
- Common Planning: Loads within one bank share that group's supply arrangement.
Contact Duty Selection
- Resistive Loads: Up to 4 A is permitted at the specified AC resistive operating points.
- Lamp Circuits: Use the lower lamp rating because startup current can reach ten times normal current.
- Solenoid Duty: Coil inrush and power factor require the dedicated solenoid limits.
- Minimum Demand: The recommended contact load is at least 5 mA.
Relay Safeguards
- Group Fuses: Each four-output bank has one replaceable 10 A internal fuse.
- Contact Leakage: Maximum OFF-state current across a contact is 1 mA.
- Surge Ceiling: Peak inrush is limited to 5 A.
- Life Expectancy: Switching endurance changes with voltage, current and load category.
External Supply Routing
- Supply Range: User power may be 5 to 265 VAC or VDC within the contact ratings.
- AC Source: Alternating-current circuits operate at 47 to 63 Hz.
- Device Power: The connected equipment is energized by the field source, not the rack backplane.
- Wiring Separation: Keep the two supply groups isolated when different sources are assigned.
