Features:
- Provides sixteen sourcing outputs for Series Three control racks.
- Supports compatible field loads across a 5 to 24 VDC range.
- Allows as much as 1 A of load current at each output point.
Source logic sends positive-side field current to a load instead of switching its return path.
The broad supply window helps the module serve mixed low-voltage DC equipment when every circuit is wired to the correct reference.
Legacy Series Three I/O can be retained behind the specified interface when a Series Five controller supervises the rack.
Apter Power may continue supporting the General Electric IC630MDL357 Series Three 16-Point Source Output Module for installed systems beyond manufacturer End-Of-Life (EOL).

Energizing Principle
- Positive Feed: An active channel delivers current from the external DC source.
- Load Return: The connected device must have a complete path back to field common.
- Supply Window: Field power may be selected within the stated 5 to 24 VDC range.
- Logic Match: Loads and interfaces must be compatible with sourcing operation.
Circuit Selection
- Steady Current: No point should exceed its 1 A operating limit.
- Startup Demand: Coils and lamps should be checked for inrush before connection.
- Supply Capacity: The field source must support all outputs expected to run together.
- Polarity Review: Reversed wiring prevents the sourcing circuit from driving the load correctly.
Functional Checks
- Command Test: Operate one output at a time while confirming its assigned field device.
- Voltage Test: Measure the external supply under the actual connected load.
- Return Test: Confirm a continuous field-common path for every device circuit.
- Mapping Test: Compare the controller reference with the physical output location.
Controller Connection
- Rack Family: Series Three is the module's direct I/O platform.
- Remote Access: Series Five uses the designated interface to communicate with the legacy rack.
- Reference Map: Output addresses must follow the installed rack and slot arrangement.
- Upgrade Control: Preserve source logic and field references when the controller architecture changes.
