Features:
- Ultra-High Density 13-Channel Sensor Mixing
- Dual-Redundant IONet with Hot-Swappability
- Onboard Signal Conditioning (IEPE & -24Vdc)
The General Electric IS220PVIBH1AL supports up to 13 inputs per pack. It allows mixing of accelerometers, proximity probes, and velomitors on a single module. Channel 13 is specifically hardwired for Keyphasor inputs, enabling precise synchronous vibration sampling for rotor balancing without requiring additional cards.
Designed for continuous operation, the General Electric IS220PVIBH1AL features two independent 100 Mbps Ethernet ports. If the primary network fails, the secondary link takes over instantly. If the module itself fails, its hot-swap design allows replacement without powering down the rack, achieving 99.999% availability for turbine control systems.
Eliminate costly external signal converters. The General Electric IS220PVIBH1AL provides onboard -24 VDC power for proximity probes and constant current excitation (IEPE) for accelerometers on channels 1-3. This direct interface reduces loop resistance and improves signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) by removing intermediate terminal blocks.
The IS220PVIBH1AL General Electric Mark VIe Vibration Monitor I/O Pack may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Gas & Steam Turbines: Real-time monitoring of rotor vibration, differential expansion, and casing movement to trigger safe shutdowns before blade-tip rubs occur.
- LNG & Pipeline Compressors: Predictive maintenance monitoring for high-speed centrifugal compressors, preventing surge events through vibration trend analysis.
- Heavy Industrial Motors & Generators: Bearing wear analysis and imbalance detection for large 4-pole and 6-pole synchronous machines.
- Marine Propulsion: Shaft alignment monitoring on LNG carriers and naval vessels where dynamic positioning requires continuous vibration validation.
- Wide Temperature Tolerance: Engineered for un-conditioned environments, operating strictly between -30°C and +65°C, suitable for remote outdoor skids.
- Electromagnetic Immunity: Designed with high Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) of -50 dB @ 50/60 Hz, allowing it to sit next to VFDs without signal corruption.
- Physical Construction: The conformal-coated PCB resists airborne contaminants like salt mist and sulfurous gases typical of petrochemical plants.
- Thermal Dissipation: Ultra-low power draw of only 4.6W eliminates the need for forced cooling fans in the cabinet, reducing maintenance cycles.
- Functional Safety: Certified per IEC 61508 for use in SIL 2 (Hardware Fault Tolerance 1) and SIL 3 (with redundancy) safety instrumented functions.
- Hazardous Locations: Compliance with ATEX Zone 2 and UL Class I Division 2, allowing installation directly on the gas turbine skid rather than a remote safe area.
- Machinery Protection: Conforms to API 670 (Machinery Protection Systems) standards for shaft vibration, shaft position, and bearing temperature monitoring.
- Emissions: RoHS Compliant (Lead-free construction) for markets enforcing strict environmental regulations (EU/UK).
