Features:
- Sixteen solid-state channels for resistive and inductive loads
- Up to 500 mA per channel, with lamp loads limited to 12 W
- Current limiting and a defined no-output response if L- is interrupted
Sixteen field commands are concentrated in the four-TE F3322 module, allowing a HIQuad rack to switch actuators without consuming a separate position for every circuit.
A limiter that responds above 550 mA protects each stage; an open L- return suppresses the output rather than leaving the field command in an undefined state.
Rack planning must include the combined load: no more than ten nominally loaded output modules are installed in one I/O subrack, and only half of the possible 8 A total is switched at one time.
HIMA F3322 16-channel digital output module is available through Apter Power for quotation; official HIMA output-module documentation can also be supplied for engineering review.

F3322 field-load behavior
- Resistive circuits: Each output can drive a compatible resistive load within the 500 mA and 12 W boundary.
- Inductive devices: The same channel rating applies to inductive loads used by field actuators.
- Lamp circuits: Lamp connections are supported when their power remains at or below 12 W.
- Shared demand: Rack design limits simultaneous switching to half of the possible 8 A aggregate output load.
F3322 protective responses
- Short circuits: The output stages include current limiting and are described as short-circuit proof.
- Limiter threshold: Protection responds when channel current rises above approximately 550 mA.
- Supply interruption: Loss of the L- conductor suppresses output signaling instead of leaving an indeterminate command.
- Circuit separation: Safety isolation separates the controlled load paths from the module electronics.
F3322 cabinet and plug planning
- Rack population: One I/O subrack may contain no more than ten output modules at nominal load.
- Module width: The hardware occupies four TE in the supported HIMA rack.
- Front connector: Channel conductors terminate through the Z 7136 front cable plug arrangement.
- Fuse coordination: The standard I/O-rack module fuse is a 4 A slow device for the planned supply branch.
F3322 channel and cable connections
- Output contacts: Sixteen channels are assigned through the front plug using the designated d and b/x terminal positions.
- 16-core option: The Z 7136 / 3322 / C.. arrangement uses a LiYY 16 x 0.5 mm² cable with 2.8 x 0.8 mm flat-pin connections.
- 32-core option: The Z 7136 / 3322 / C.. / P2 arrangement provides the alternative LiYY 32 x 0.5 mm² channel cable.
- Supply conductors: The L- and L+ paths use the designated z2 and z12 contacts shown in the connection drawings.
