Features:
- Provides 4 channels with 500V AC isolation for reliable field device control.
- ±0.20% full scale accuracy with 900μs setting time and 3ms update.
- FM Class 1 Div 2, cUL, UL 508 certified for hazardous locations.
The 140ACO02000 provides four independent analog output channels with 4-20mA current range and 12-bit bipolar current resolution. Each channel is isolated with 500V AC (47-63Hz) and 750V DC for 1 minute, ensuring robust noise immunity and protection against ground loops in industrial environments. The 140ACO02000 supports a maximum voltage drop of <30V at 20mA with external power requirement of 12-30V DC. This isolation and output configuration make the 140ACO02000 ideal for controlling field devices such as actuators, valves, and variable speed drives in Modicon Quantum systems.
The 140ACO02000 delivers exceptional accuracy with an absolute accuracy error of ±0.20% of full scale at 25°C and linearity of ±1 LSB. The module features a fast setting time of 900μs to ±0.1% of the final value with an update time of 3ms, enabling precise and rapid control responses. The 140ACO02000 maintains accuracy with drift of ±0.004% of full scale per °C (typical) and ±0.007% maximum. This high accuracy and fast response make the 140ACO02000 suitable for demanding applications requiring precise analog output control.
The 140ACO02000 is certified to FM Class 1 Division 2, cUL, UL 508, and CSA C22.2 No 142 standards, making it suitable for installation in hazardous locations. The module operates in ambient temperatures from 0°C to 60°C with storage capability from -40°C to 85°C and relative humidity up to 95% without condensation. The 140ACO02000 is a Green Premium product with REACH free of SVHC and proactive EU RoHS compliance. The module includes local signaling with LEDs for bus communication, external fault, channel status, and channel fault indication.
The 140ACO02000 Schneider Analog Output Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond
End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Water and Wastewater Treatment: Controlling chemical dosing pumps and large water valves to clean city water.
- Oil and Gas Refining: Managing pressure regulating valves and flow controllers across massive pipeline networks.
- Power Generation: Adjusting steam valves and fuel feeders to maintain steady electricity production.
- 4-Channel 4-20mA Output: It features 4 high-precision channels that output standard 4 to 20 mA electrical current loops, which are highly resistant to factory electrical noise.
- Fast Update Times: The module can refresh all of its output channels in less than 5 milliseconds, ensuring real-time response to critical process changes.
- High Electrical Isolation: It provides 1500V AC optical isolation between the delicate internal PLC electronics and the harsh field wiring, protecting the main system from sudden power spikes.
- Modulating Valve Control: Imagine a water pipe that needs to stay at exactly 50% capacity. The PLC reads a sensor, and the 140ACO02000 sends a changing 12mA signal to a motorized control valve, holding it perfectly half-open.
- Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Speed Setting: If a factory conveyor belt needs to speed up or slow down based on how many boxes are arriving, this module sends a shifting 4-20mA signal to a motor drive, smoothly accelerating or braking the motor.
- Industrial Heater Regulation: In a plastics plant, a melting tank must stay at a precise temperature. The module sends a control signal to a power regulator, slightly backing off the electrical heat as the tank reaches its target temperature to prevent overheating.
