Features:
- Sixteen 24 V DC inputs are organized as one electrically isolated channel group.
- Two protected sensor feeds serve separate groups of eight field inputs.
- Configurable diagnostics, input delay and Configuration in Run are supported.
Siemens 6ES7650-8DK70-0AA0 collects contact and proximity-switch states before the IM 650 transfers those values into the ET 200PA SMART station.
The channel grouping and the two sensor supplies define how field devices share power without changing the single 16-channel input image.
Indicator and diagnostic functions keep sensor-supply faults separate from the normal green channel states during commissioning.
The Siemens 6ES7650-8DK70-0AA0 ET 200PA SMART DI module is supported with model verification, technical documentation and quotation assistance from Apter Power.

Field Power Distribution
- First feed: One short-circuit-proof sensor supply serves channels 0 through 7.
- Second feed: A separate protected supply serves channels 8 through 15.
- Diagnostic grouping: Sensor-supply diagnostics are assigned within the corresponding group of eight channels.
- Supply check: Dedicated indicators show whether each sensor feed is present.
Fault Reporting Sequence
- Local state: Green channel indicators follow the individual input signals.
- Group fault: The red SF indicator gathers module-level diagnostic conditions.
- Controller report: Enabled diagnostics are transferred through the IM 650 station interface.
- Interrupt choice: The diagnostic interrupt can be enabled independently in parameter assignment.
Input Timing Relationship
- Configuration path: The input delay is assigned through the module parameter dialog in HW Config.
- Timing choices: Available values are 0.1, 0.5, 3, 15 and 20 ms.
- Assignment scope: One selected delay applies across the complete input module.
- Runtime behavior: The process input value does not change while the input module is being reconfigured.
IM 650 Integration Limit
- Required host: The module function is available in an ET 200PA SMART station with IM 650.
- Backplane role: The IM 650 carries channel data and module diagnostics toward the controller.
- Unsupported placement: An ET 200M interface module or S7-300 CPU does not provide the ET 200PA SMART function.
- Suffix boundary: The -0AA0 article is the standard module; -1AA0 identifies the conformal-coated version.
