Features:
- 6ES7407-0RA01-0AA0 accepts either a wide-range AC input or a DC input.
- The supply produces a 5.1 VDC system rail and a separate 24 VDC auxiliary rail.
- Front controls cover standby, battery monitoring and failure-message reset.
The module feeds S7-400 electronics through the rack while exposing both secondary-voltage states on the front panel.
The three-pin power connector and protective conductor remain on the primary side of the conversion boundary.
Two battery compartments support the selectable backup arrangement monitored by the front BATT indicators.
The Siemens 6ES7407-0RA01-0AA0 S7-400 PS 407 20 A Power Supply Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

One Connector for AC or DC
- Shared connector: The same three-pin plug accepts the documented AC or DC supply.
- AC path: AC operation covers 85–264 V at 47–63 Hz.
- DC path: DC operation covers 88–300 V and tolerates reversed L+ and L− without loss of function.
System and Auxiliary Supplies
- System rail: The 5.1 VDC rail is rated for 20 A.
- Auxiliary rail: The 24 VDC rail is rated for 1 A.
- Rail indicators: Separate front indicators show the presence of each output.
Standby, Battery and Reset
- Standby control: The standby switch changes operating state but does not isolate mains power.
- Battery selection: The battery selector enables one-battery, two-battery or off monitoring.
- Failure reset: FMR clears stored failure messages after the fault condition is removed.
Shutdown and Restart Sequence
- Internal fault: INTF separates an internal supply fault from a missing output indication.
- Backup faults: BAF and the two battery LEDs identify backup-related conditions.
- Restart cycle: Short circuit or overload initiates a delayed shutdown followed by a restart attempt.
