Features:
- 6DL3100-8AC02 combines AddFEM process I/O with local PoCo position-control processing.
- Feedback and command signals remain in defined analog, digital, and pulse-channel paths.
- Redundant partners can share control-output load through the documented 50/50 arrangement.
Siemens 6DL3100-8AC02 closes the configured position loop near the process while exchanging operating data with the Add 7 host.
Its dual PROFIBUS ports separate the redundant host path from process wiring on connectors X4 through X7.
DPV1 access lets 6DL3100-8AC02 expose supported parameters and detailed diagnostics without redefining the cyclic process image.
The Siemens 6DL3100-8AC02 AddFEM PoCo Position Control Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Position Control Is Closed in the Front End
- Command intake: The module receives the target value through the configured host or process-data path
- Feedback capture: Assigned analog or pulse channels return the actual position signal
- Local calculation: PoCo processing compares target and feedback within the module's fast execution cycle
- Control response: The result drives the selected output without waiting for a separate central-loop calculation
Channel Type Determines How Feedback Enters the Loop
- Analog source: Current or voltage feedback must be assigned to a channel that accepts that signal type
- Pulse source: Counter inputs capture edge-based position information up to their documented frequency
- Signal conditioning: Scaling and filtering convert the electrical value into the quantity used by PoCo
- Consistency check: Host parameters, connector terminals, and the selected feedback mode must describe the same path
Redundant Control Outputs Work as a Pair
- Parallel connection: Both PoCo module outputs are wired to the controlled load in the specified redundant arrangement
- Balanced operation: Healthy partners each carry the documented 50 percent share
- Partner loss: The remaining path assumes the required output only within the approved load boundary
- Commissioning check: Output calibration and partner configuration must agree before redundancy is enabled
The GSD Defines How the Host Sees PoCo Data
- SPPA-T3000: Its assigned GSD maps the module records into the turbine-control environment
- PCS 7: A different GSD identity exposes the same hardware through the PCS 7 integration
- FM 458: The supported FM 458 configuration uses the AddFEM-specific device description
- Address boundary: Cyclic I/O, DPV1 parameters, and diagnostics must follow the record layout of the chosen host definition
