Features:
- Monitored contact modes accept fourteen changeover or twenty-eight single contacts.
- A separate arrangement acquires twenty-eight binary inputs without sensor supply.
- Sixteen binary outputs carry control or signaling commands away from the module.
The FUM210 conditions field-contact states before the TELEPERM XP control path uses them.
Sensor-supplied and unsupplied input arrangements require different terminal planning even when both deliver binary states.
Output commands remain separate from the monitored input circuits so cabinet wiring must preserve their assigned channel roles.
The Siemens 6DP1210-8CA TELEPERM XP FUM210 Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Organizing supplied and monitored contact circuits
- Changeover mode: Fourteen changeover contacts use sensor supply and monitoring.
- Single-contact mode: Twenty-eight single contacts can use the same supplied and supervised structure.
- Circuit supervision: Monitoring distinguishes the field-contact circuit from an ordinary unsupplied input.
- Terminal match: The selected contact arrangement must agree with the physical channel wiring.
Acquiring unsupplied field states
- Input capacity: The module can receive twenty-eight binary inputs without sensor supply.
- Signal role: These channels transfer field states into the TELEPERM XP processing path.
- Mode distinction: Unsupplied inputs are not wired as monitored sensor-supply circuits.
- Cabinet check: Each conductor must terminate on the channel group defined for the chosen mode.
Passing binary commands to connected circuits
- Output count: Sixteen binary outputs provide the command side of the module.
- Control path: Processed TELEPERM XP decisions become field-facing binary commands.
- Signal separation: Output wiring remains distinct from the contact-acquisition terminals.
- Load boundary: The connected circuit must follow the documented FUM210 output arrangement.
Relating field status to supervision
- Contact state: The input path identifies whether the field contact is open or closed.
- Supply supervision: Monitored modes also evaluate the supplied contact circuit.
- System signaling: Conditioned results can be used by TELEPERM XP monitoring and signaling functions.
- Fault tracing: A wiring fault should be separated from a valid process-state change before output logic is examined.
