Description
The Woodward 5501-380 is a Triple Redundant (TMR) Power Supply Board in the MicroNet/5009 series, designed to provide stable, redundant power to MicroNet TMR control systems, such as the 5009 control enclosure.
This board supports 120 VAC or 120 VDC inputs and can output multiple independent 24V DC channels to drive control modules. In critical industrial systems, it enhances system reliability through redundant design and real-time fault indication (front panel LEDs), and supports fault diagnosis (such as over-temperature, input faults), making it suitable for high-availability control architectures.

FAQS
The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
Is the 5501-380 only usable in MicroNet TMR systems?
Yes, it is specifically designed for the MicroNet/5009 TMR control chassis, providing redundant power supply support.
The input is 120V, so can it accept DC power?
Yes. The 5501-380 supports 120V DC input.
Will the system shut down if a power board fails?
In a TMR architecture (multiple power supplies in parallel), a single board failure does not necessarily cause the system to shut down (depending on the system design).
What faults can the LED indicators show?
The front panel LEDs can display
How quickly does it restore power after a restart?
It has a 7 ms hold-up time, which provides some recovery capability against brief voltage interruptions.
